My mom had this...SM

I'm sorry about your niece. The diagnosis is grim for this type of lung cancer which is the worst type to get. My mom was diagnosed last January and passed away in June, sorry to say. She did chemo and radiation and fought hard. She really had good spirits up until the day the doctor said she might have 2 weeks left, maybe just days. Two days later she was unable to communicate, and died 2 days after that stage, in Hospice care at that point, which was a godsend.

It had spread to her brain and bones by the end, but at the beginning had not spread so we were hopeful, although the doctor only gave her a 5-10% chance of fighting it off. She was 59 years old. If you have any questions, let me know. I'll keep her in my thoughts!
