and the groom, since he is your relative, that you are not in the wedding party and are wearing the red dress, and if they consider being in charge of the guest book part of the wedding party, then they should get someone else to do it.

you are not being unreasonable sm

to worry about this.  I would advise him to stay with someone too. You cannot be too careful with a head injury.  If you are worrying about being "over protective" quit worrying!

I have two "boys" in their 30s and I still worry and one is married and is a firefighter!   Being a mom never ends!

You are not unreasonable...the bride sounds..

like a pain, I feel sorry for the groom! If she does not like your dress she can buy you a new one and any accessories you might need to go along with it. Or you can simply not be the keeper of the guest book, which is what I would do if I were you! Good luck and don't feel bad! If this ruins her "special day" she is pretty shallow!

No its not unreasonable and I do want them to spend time with her (sm)
I try to be as encouraging as I can and I tell them how much she loves them. But honestly when they find out they have to go, they cry every time they think about it, even if it is days away, and then cry all the way there.
