I can't believe you don't love them! I am a plain Jane, though, but I just think those are the best! Closest thing to "school rolls," which was about the only food the schools served that we all loved. I think they (the school) used to actually sell them by the dozen.
Anyway, I guess you could brush them with melted garlic butter and maybe throw some parmaesan (sp?) cheese or shredded cheddar on them or something, if you don't want something sweet.
