Thank you to those who responded.  It is helpful knowing I am not alone and that we as women can share life challenges.  I am 44.  Quite honestly, the BCPs have put an end to the severe (and I do mean severe) PMS and severe cramps I have had my entire life, but they have not been the miracle I had hoped for.  As far as diet and exercise...I have always eaten a very healthy diet, exercise 5 days a week, lift weights, have never smoked, have always taken vitamins, am at a very healthy weight so...I am unsure what else I should be doing at this time, which is really adding to the frustration.  Someone brought up isolation...Yes, I have been doing MT at home for 10 years now and feel more and more isolated each year.  I do each lunch every Friday with an older friend of mine and we laugh for hours and I enjoy it so much, but other than that I pretty much do not have a lot of contact with anyone on a regular basis other than my husband of 25 years.  It sounds weird even typing that because that definitely does not sound "normal."  Gosh, is anyone else in the same boat?  Maybe we are on to something here??
