what some of the experts say to do - sm
Pay off the highest CC debt first, then take the extra money from that payment when it is paid in full and apply to the next highest one, and keep going in that manner, but always make the minimum payments on everything.  Most experts say do not by any means take out any type of LOC on your house no matter what because if something happened and you could not make that payment then where would you be?  It took time to get in debt and it will take time to get out.  Many experts also suggest getting a second job if that is what it takes to pay the debt down.  You can do it!!!
    question for you computer experts
Is it possible to send a song via email?  I have a bunch of songs downloaded on my Windows Media.  I don't know how to transfer them into email or even if it's possible.
Asking you experts - where to buy "wireless" headphones, best price???
This is for a Christmas gift for my husband. He loves boxing and I hate it, so I would rather read in peace, Thanks for your help. Don't want "used." So I guess it's actually my gift to myself, I guess!
Owned a coffee shop and told by experts not to sm
freeze or refrigerate beans as it takes moisture out and does something to the oils. Only buy what you need and only grind what you need right before you use it. I was surprised too!
Maybe doc needs to do a culture and......
have that determine which antibiotic or antifungal you may need. Good luck.
Have they ever done a sinus culture on you? sm
There's a possibility that they are giving you the wrong antibiotics or just not a long enough course. Also, it coud be a fungal infection, in which case you would not need an antibiotic, but an antifungal drug. Sometimes when the infection is long term or persistent, you need to be on medication longer than the usual 7-10 days. Good luck.
No culture, only it it does bust then we are to
take her to the hospital to get a culture. The thing is, this is the third time, each time a different diagnosis, and each time antibiotics took care of it. I honestly don't remember what the other antibiotics were.
    Culture shock?...sm

Leaving a major metropoliatan area in Upstate NY and moving to seriously rural area in South Central KY was quite a culture shock....The entire road in front of our house was gravel up until a coupla years ago....finally got city water too!  It's a very small town without even a stop light....just a K-8 school and post office.  The boys begged me for 3 years to take them back to civilization.  It took that long to assimilate.

I went to work 40 miles away and wiggled my way into MT after having worked in a large vasc surg ofc in NY.  I've met a lotta nice folks over the years here from all walks of life and finally learned how to make a decent jam cake and cornbread (not sweet).  Cat

    If you understood their culture...
you would be more enlightened as to how dates and names are said, rather than complaining about them. Really not anything to get that irritated over.

    definitely normal kid culture reaction

Remembering standing outside waiting at the Brooklyn Fox for the following groups at one time or another way back when:

    Little Anthony and the Imperials

    Martha and the Vandellas

    The Shirelles

    Otis Redding

Little Stevie Wonder (he was 13)

    Smokey Robinson and the Miracles

The Ruffin Brothers (David and.....cannot remember the other one's name at the moment)

    The Thymes (later on)

before the British Invasion music which them some of us started appreciating......and going ape waiting for the Beatles at 54th Street at the Warwick Hotel, 500-1000 young girls on the 4 corners of that intersection mobbing taxicabs....*LOL* - those were the days....

There is still an *underground* rollerdisco culture that - sm
still exists. You can find it in San Francisco, Venice Beach in L.A., Mission Bay in San Diego, and Central Park in NY. And in parts of Europe it's still pretty huge. Especially London, with nighttime events and Sunday discos on Serpentine Dr. in Hyde Park. Definitely a *niche* kinda' sport, but it's fun and a major workout, as well. There is also *jam-skating*, done mostly at rinks, which is more of a hip-hop/breakdance style.

For me it began as inline-skating (which I still do), which led to conventional skates and disco skating, and eventally to ice skating.

There are 2 events going on in S.F. tonight: Roller disco on the waterfront, hopefully till about 1:00 AM, and a wild-n-wooly street skate through downdown S.F. - thru traffic, up and down hills, thru tunnels, etc., with wheeled boom-box musical accompaniment. It's not only great way to see the sights of our beautiful city, it's also a way to BE one of the sights, as well.
    :D

    My car is foreign...sm
I have always owned foeign cars. I currently drive a new Kia Spectra. I just bought it in May of this year. I am quite proud of it. It gets great mileage for me especially on road trips. I drove a VW New Beetle before I got the Kia, and I currently have it up for sale right now. It was a 99 model. Before the VW, I had a Toyota Corolla. Those are great cars. Before the Corolla I had a Toyota Camry. Before the Camry I had a Mitsibishi Eclipse. My first car was a Toyota Tercel. I don't have anything against American I just always like the cars I picked.
I did NOT blame his culture-reading problem?

I gave the freshest stats at the time this a.m. - that he was a 23 y/o Korean boy....

only thing i stated about Korea and their culture was that in the schools they teach antiamericanism and I'm not blaming the culture, I'M STATING A FACT.

    Geesh........

    Foreign Films . . .
My Favorite - "Raise the Red Lantern". Also, "My Life in Pink".
    Foreign dictators

I am getting a string of foreign dictators, the kind who can barely speak English.  On top of that, they are disorganized, mumbly.  It just irks me that I have to lose money listening to their rambling, unintelligible gibberish, long pauses.  They have sick people in their own countries, why aren't they there taking care of them?   I get 2 or 3 of these people and my line count goes right down the tubes.

I don't want to hear from you bleeding hearts - all the mularkey about we are all immigrants, etc.    I don't want to hear about how your favorite dictators are foreigners.  I'm not talking about dictators with accents, I'm talking about doctors who cannot speak decent English and yet are allowed to practice here.

Is your car foreign or American?

I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx. My last car is a 93 Buick Century wagon. I sold it to my nephew and he's still driving it. My car before that was a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx.

Both Maxxes have 3.5 motors. I'm squeezing out an average of 24 mpg. I do mostly city driving. On a road trip last month the average was 38.6 mpg. The Buick wagon has a 3.3. The car is bigger so the mileage was lower but around 18 mpg.

I have not owned a foreign car since 1996.

I used to own only foreign cars
I had Mazdas when I was younger. Then I married my husband, and he works for a Chrysler/Jeep dealship so no more foreign cars for me, but I do love my Jeep.
I have never owned a foreign car.
My old 1991 Dodge pickup has 450,000 miles on it and I bet it will see half a million. It is a 3/4 ton pickup and still averages about 23 miles to the gallon. Can't beat that. Also have a 2005 Ford F250 and a 2008 Dodge Charger that I am in love with.
Just a sad, sad day. Two pop culture icons die - Farrah and Michael Jackson.

I grew up with Michael Jackson.  Used to watch the Jackson 5 cartoons in the 70s when I was a little kid.  Then bought his first solo album, Off the Wall.  Was watching the Apollo special when he moonwalked for the first time on stage.  Bought Thriller as a teenager in the 80s and was just a huge, big-haired fan.  It's like a part of my childhood just died.

And who can forget Farrah?  I loved Charlie's Angels.  Remember when she came back to acting after Charlie's Angels in the Burning Bed?  Who knew she was more than just a sex symbol on a poster?!?!?!  She fought such a courageous battle against her cancer.

when your ancestors came here from foreign lands

face what you're suggesting?  (and I'm not talking about the situation with Mexico, rather ALL foreign countries actually)

ALL your relatives/kin came from some foreign land, that is unless you are a Native American.  Think y'all better think before you type on this subject...and try to remember what all your grandparents or great-grandparents, (or even some parents today) had to go through so that YOU all can live and be free (and some of them did not do it legally)....Think Ellis Island...for one place.... where everyone just GRABBED names.....

those who live in glass houses or lived in glass houses via ancestry should never throw stones.....

I think, JMO, that we should CLOSE THE DOORS TO EVERYBODY.....and then get rid of the wet-foot-dry-foot policy ongoing in Florida too that merely caters to the Cubans......and to nobody else trying to escape their country(ies) for the same exact reasons (sociopolitcoeconomical reasons) as the Cubans.  We should close our borders because of running out of natural resources and we already are having problems taking care of our own.

    jes' my nickel's worth....LOL

I have traveled to foreign countries,
went to Greece just with my daughter when she was 12 and have visited lots of other countries just me and the children when they were young. I drive out of state frequently as have family in another state. I also go on vacations with meeting up with tours, people I don’t know but get to know with the time spent with them. I love traveling and if I want on DH to go, would never get around to it. I never fear traveling alone, have a good auto and go!
    SIL foreign booty call.

My SIL is on a plane right now flying from Texas to France then to Cairo, Egypt to meet a man she met on second life. (A website/chat room/game). She and my bro always talk about how they cannot afford to get their car fixed, lawnmower fixed and 3 months ago brother told me that they cannot afford their house payment so they refinanced; but she managed to scrape up the money and do this....and worse my brother is standing by her because he does not believe in divorce. Another thing is they have 2 young children she left behind to go on her booty call.

Bro is trying to convince himself and me that she is merely on vacation.  He said he cried when she left; and when I called him he said he had been sitting in front of his computer tracking down flights to see exactly where she is (there is evidently a website that does this). I said "I wonder how much time she is wasting wondering what you and the boys are doing." I cannot believe my SIL is that crazy. She is in her mid 30s.  I can see a teenager wanting to do this.  If she is not concerned about her H or kids, then  she should be concerned about her own life. I thought Egypt was one of those countries were crimes against women were taken very lightly...I could be wrong. I thought human rights in general were taken lightly. I mentioned this to brother that I would be afraid that he might be luring her there and going to keep her as a slave. Brother said well, stuff like that happens here too. I said and this is why you travel in a group, not alone like she is. I don’t know if she is lodging with him or in a hotel/motel nearby. Knowing her stupidity now and her limited means, she is probably lodging with him.

She also runs around until 3 to 4 in the morning with a local/newly divorced man. I tried to convince my brother that we are there for him, he is not alone. He does not have to go through this emotional torture but he must be the co-dependent type and wants to hang on.

77 lincoln and 93 mercury -- never foreign

the Lincoln is currently in storage, as 8 mph is not really practical.  never had a foreign car, was raised by dad to never do such a thing

VERY hard when the names are foreign! DUH.

I agree - and in a foreign country nonetheless! (sm)
What if she woke up and wandered out or if there was a fire or if someone came in and got her? No way in this world would I have done that. I have stayed in hotels by myself with my kids and the most I ever did was go to the vending machine on the same floor and right back while they were sleeping and I was nervous to do that!
American or Asian Indian? Culture difference might explain his odd behavior.

I knew the site was hijacked but not by a foreign country. Which one?
The main board has a post saying that MTStars was sold.
Mine isn't a foreign body but rather attempted activity with the doc.....
I typed this report. The female doc was very calm and normal during the entire report. Male presented with penile pain and discharge. I get to the plan and she is saying she recommends he go to a urologist but he requested only "female" urologists and there was not 1 in any of the local or extended local areas, blah, blah, blah and I am kinda thinking to myself this was a little bit strange. Then she gets to the end and proceeds stating she needs me to type a separate note and title it incident note. He unclothed himself as soon as she walked in, was playing with it, and was trying to get her to play with it, etc. She gave great detailed info and I was laughing so hard throughout it it was so hard to type it. I know it wasn't funny for them but hearing the incident was hilarious for me. I was just picturing working in the office when all this was going on. Turns out he had done the nurse the same way and what I didn't get was why the doctor wasn't forewarned so she could make sure someone assisted her in the room or possibly this did happen but wasn't in her incident report.
Have an extremely strong accent when speaking foreign languages,....nm
