Without reading through the millions of messages posted below, I have to say I'm sorry for you. Being a parent doesn't stop when the kids move out. Husbands may come and go but your children are forever.

I get irritated with my kids from time to time but that is part of being a mother. I'm sure they get irritated with me too sometimes.

Whether or not it was your intent, your post comes across as very abrasive and selfish. If you come across the same way on the phone, it's no wonder they think you are angry or in a bad mood.

Try recording yourself sometime and then listen to yourself. It's surprising what a difference that can make.
