If you use shortening to grease your pan, then sprinkle sugar instead of flour for a sweet bottom!

I understand they want her DNA to make sure they don't substitute..
another baby and pass it off as hers.
Substitute cool whip

I have a pudding pie that needed to be cut but put it in a 13" pan and you use 1/2 cool whip, INSTANT pudding, 1/2 milk as it makes it thicker.

I worked as a substitute at my children's
elementary school for several years. I have seen it all when it comes to parents and teachers. There are teachers that obviously went in to the profession simply because of the hours without any concern for the children and others that did it because they truely love educating children. The same with parents, some will fight tooth and nail for their child no matter what (even if they brought a gun to school), other parents that simply don't care, and parents that realize their child is not perfect but neither is the teacher. Stick to your belief in your children, that matters the most in the long run. Glad you got your children away from that particular counselor and hope things go well from here on. It is really hard to give "all the facts" or express yourself completely when you are trying to explain by typing.
My experience as a substitute teacher is that this is very normal
behavior for children at her age. Please remember that we just got through a worldwind of holidays and their schedules have been off as far as structure. Almost every child right now is going through this disruptive behavior, because believe it or not, children truly want structure in their lives and thrive upon it. No, it does not make it acceptable and I am the biggest stinker about my children acting appropriately in school. Like I tell my children, I cannot make you gets As in all your subjects, but I can make you responsible for your behavior.

Anyhow, I think the apology to the teacher itself would have been an appropriate punishment at her young age, as children truly want nothing more than acceptance.

BTW, her age level is tough right now. After the winter holidays they ALL seem to get tattling and boisterous and whenever I have to teach kindergartners in the Sprin I pray VERY hard. It is all part of them establishing their identities. You are a very good mother for being so concerned and proactive, but just try to take this stepping stone with a little bit of patience and glory....she is growing up!! Hugs to you!!!
Texture will probably be soggier. Substitute shredded zuchhini

Do you have really hard water? Maybe leaving water spots from lime, calcium, etc.? Or are the spots

Formula is an inferior substitute. Criticizing nursing in public only helps the big formula companie

Milk around here has been

perhaps it is residual milk, since she was still--sm
lactating when the kittens were taken away. Perhaps call the vet to see if and what can be done to relieve this.
Maybe I should send milk
I can't believe the milk prices elsewhere. Anyone want NY milk. LOL.
Why are we okay with animal milk?
Funny how we think it is "normal" to drink the milk of an animal, don't you think?

Honestly, I would much rather find an animal hair in my food than a human hair though. :) I even get grossed out when it is my own hair!!
can milk be frozen?
and still be good to drink?
Milk around here is $2.50 a gallon

and it takes 1 gallon to make a nice chunk of mozzarella. It takes 3 gallons to make the harder cheeses like cheddar and Monterey Jack.  I want a good "biting" sharp cheese.

I'm sure if I look around here, I could find cheaper milk. I just haven't tried yet. Years ago, I could buy raw milk from a local farmer, but I don't think there are any dairy farmers around here anymore. I know of 1 in another county but he's 20 miles away "over the mountain". It's too dangerous to go there in the winter.

cats and milk
Have had cats for over 40 years. Was told they are lactose intolerant and cannot digest milk properly and not to give them any.
1/2 CUP TO 2/3 CUP MILK IN ICING
SORRY ABOUT THE MISUNDERSTANDING, DIL TOLD ME WRONG & COULDN'T FIND MY RECIPE.. JUST TALKED TO MOM..
We used to use the wax milk cartons for candles sm
when I was a kid. We used to put some ice in the carton and then add the wax. It always made different looking candles. Also, if you have an old electric mixer, you can make the wax foamy while it is still liquid and look like suds or piles of snow.
I have bought this milk for years
and I have not had any problems like that, I have had menstrual problems but that is due to my thyroid. My hubbie and I both have drank it for that long. I hope that is not true but you never know.
Mother's Milk in Food
What nutritional value does this serve for an adult? I don't think he is going to ramp up his business by publicly announcing that he is putting breast milk in his food. Most would probably find that rather weird not to mention gross. What women would allow this man to use their breast milk for such a purpose? Breastfeeding is supposed to be not only a nutritional gain for a child but a bonding experience for mother and child. I don't see many women going for this either.
Well, if these cows are suppling milk
they are hamburger. What does PETA have to say about that?
saw Milk this weekend and everyone was bawling.
everyone in the theater was crying.
I've always given my cats milk.
Never had a problem and have always had cats. Half and half is good too.
I give my cat milk about once a month but
it's "cereal" milk and he'll only have a few swallows and then be done. He drinks with his paws which I think is a hoot!!
Email, heavens no.. he might still be into the milk jug situation
and my breasts are through with that. These are probably the most obnoxious reading posts I have read, ever on here.
And squirting milk on a cousin of his is not normal either
just amaze yourself and read some of this nut's posts. Un-b-liv-able.....
Try some low-fat vanilla soy milk in your joe, Hayseed. Awful at

Totally agree, cornbread, milk, egg
Never added sweet unless cookies, brownies, cakes, pies- all those got sweets.
milk chocolate. Snow or sand?

So instead of "stealing baby cows milk"
we are supposed to steal baby human's milk??? Hello?! If mommas in financial distress find out they can sell their breast milk rather than give it to their kid, they are going to do that!

And like PETA said "the breast is the best!"

Are you hoping to milk a sexual harrassment lawsuit out of this?

Oh for crying out loud! Drink some warm milk and

$4.75 a gallon of milk at Costco here, cheapest place around nm

99-cent stores in Houston sell milk....
any fat content, 2 gallons for $3. Might be worth a shot if making cheese, though I don't know what the yield would be when converting liquid to solid. Sure beats the $4+ per pound price of cheese in the grocery store.
My uncle told me each teat on a cow gave different kinds of milk (sm)
One for whole, one for 2%, one for chocolate, and one for buttermilk. That was when I was *real* little; I don't think I bought that one very long.

He also told me that the mountain people had to have "hill cows" which had legs shorter one side than the other so they could stand on the hills without falling over. (If you've ever seen cows standing on a steep hill in the mountains, you'll understand why I believed that for a while...)

LOL.
Generic corn-chex cereal, milk, & a cup of coffee. (nm)

Mocha - 2 shots, nonfat milk, extra hot, no foam and a straw pls.

I think it tastes burnt. But I do like their iced coffee drinks, full of milk and sugar, LOL. nm

I miss college and Carnation Instant Breakfast in a nice tall glass of ice cold milk.

Some say it's the water...
and they are cooked in salted water - some are not. They have a crusty-hard outside and a moist middle. And they're huge. They really are the best! :)
Ice Water, sm
Soak apples in ice water and a little salt. Kabobs would be a great idea but not sure about the wooden skewers.
no where to put the water?
ever consider the toilet? Lot's of other nasty stuff goes down ther:)
Yes, usually when I get water in my ear, that happens.
I put a few drops of alcohol in my ear and it goes away.
Water is not the only --sm
source of fluoride though. It is in our toothpastes, mouthwashes, and probably a number of other items you would never suspect. You have to be proactive and check labels on EVERY thing to avoid it. This forced consumption of fluoride brings to mind the long suppressed addictiveness of nicotine in tobacco and the health implications that caused. I feel sometimes that having fluoride forced upon the unwitting public could possibly be in the same category. Flouride is in all actuality a rat poison, used many years ago for that reason only. It hardens bones (osteoporosis??) but I am doubtful about any other health *benefits* of it. I think there are many more risks involved in its use than the unwitting public will ever be made aware of and a lot of information about it being suppressed as well.
Some ants come in for water as much
or more than food. I have heard they don't like to walk thru talcum powder. You can put a circle of it around pet water bowls if that is the draw for them. See if you can find where they are coming in, both the inside entry point and the outside. Plug holes with silicone caulk or expanding caulk like STUFF. A natural product is diamateous earth (not the kind used for pools, though). Use only outside, or it may be okay in crawlspace, but not sure. You don't want to breathe it, so wear a mask while pouring. Once it is down it harmless to people and pets, but when hard-bodied insects walk through it, the texture tears their exoskeletons up and kills them. But it is washed away by rain, so very expensive. Depends on how rainy your climate is as to whether it will work for you.
If they get caught, off goes their water!

Have my shutters open this morning and I see my next door neighbor starting to water her lawn. We are in a drought really bad here and the water is being rationed, so to speak. No one waters on Sunday (and Sunday as I write) and we have an odd, even day system when we do water through the week. Atlanta, which is close by, has gone to a 1 day a week watering system. Some places in my state have turned off water to people caught abusing this. I remember in the 80s we had such a drought our showers were limited to 5 minutes. I would hope it does not get that bad again.

They use saline, right? Not just water.
Saline sprays don't bother me at all.
hot water cornbread

WARNING:  I do everything by eye....a pinch here, a smidgeon there...I just throw it all in a bowl and guesstimate.

Ya make 'em kinda like pancakes in a cast iron skillet on the stove and it doesn't heat the house up as much as baking.

Boil at least a cup of water in the microwave

Put about 1 to 2 cups of self-rising cornmeal in a bowl.  Add 1 beaten egg and mix thoroughly.  Then you add the boiling water in bits, slowly mixing it until the right consistency....not thin like pancakes.... kinda like what you would make for regular cornbread almost.

Heat skillet with about 1/8 to 1/4 inch oil heated med to med/hi.... then use a good sized serving spoon to dollop the mixture into the pan.  Watch carefully and try not to burn

DO NOT, under any circumstances use jiffy mix.

After 25 years I've finally gotten it nearly right (darn Yankee that I am).   Happy vows tomorrow!

Water 'em! (sm)
Hose them down outside, put them in the shower, or leave them out in the rain.

bluing and well water
I am on well water too. Have not used it most of my life but only the past 5 years so maybe that is part of my problem too! I don't know much about how it changes things. We do have a reverse osmosis system which is supposed to help remove rust and sulfur. Maybe I need the bluing too. More info on this would be appreciated! :) I also have allergies to most detergents so a brand name would be great!
thanks for the info. we have well water too. sm
we have a water softener, and filters.  not sure if maybe that is helping my stuff dinge out.  thanks for the info on the bluing!
Hot tap water - which is really very warm - sm
If it's too hot for your hands, it's too hot for the yeast.
