I had been told by the computer guru who built my computer that XP was out the door and that vista with 2007 office was in. Since my custom computer is only 2 years old, and XP was extremely expensive, with the 2003 office package, I was just not that ready to abandon ship and jump into a life raft with holes, ya'kno? So, since I am 6 months to a year from building a new computer, I was looking for opinions from professionals in regards to how the new system worked with old programs. The company I am looking to hire with is also a computer guru/programmer and he suggested that if it comes to putting Vista in my current computer, not to bother. If it comes to building a new one, then go ahead, but postpone it a spell, because they (Microsoft) is still working some of the bugs out.
