all part of not being a doormat ;-).

And that is my plan...I am just now beginning to have some health issues from not taking care of myself. And I know it is my fault for not looking at my life correctly and realizing that taking care of myself is very important. I was hoping to encourage others who may be headed down the same path with my post.

me and my sister argue about this all the time -
I do not always answer my phone if I am busy or even if I just don't want to talk and I do not always click over to take another call if I am on the phone. I think it is rude to the caller I am speaking to to tell them to hold on all the time, so I either return the second call later or just ignore it. My sister thinks you should always answer each and every call no matter what you are doing, where you are, or who you are talking to, because "it is rude not to". So now, I answer every call I receive while I am talking to her and leave her holding as long as I possibly can while I talk to the other person that is calling me. And if she puts me on hold, I politely hang up until she feels the need to call me back and talk to me. It drives me crazy to be in the middle of a conversation and before I can finish a sentence hear the other person say "hold on" and put me on hold before I can say another word.
put her in your yard; her owner cannot argue against your action.
