gave good advice. You all have made me feel a little better. I was feeling so guilty about this. I will go now, but probably won't stay long and probably won't go up front (my legs wouldn't hold up).

As for John paying, I know he can't afford it. They never had much money and the kids are not much better off so splitting the cost would be out of the question. I'm sure its all they can do to scrape up the expenses for the viewing, funeral, and headstone  costs.

Grief is an awful thing and it makes people do strange things. I'm just hoping the kids understand.

I never used to have these attacks. They started after the 12th family member/friends (between DH and myself) died a few years ago, all in the space of 6 years. Since then I've had to endure 2 other viewings of family members. Just can't take it anymore.

On a lighter note, I'm not even going to my own.
