I don't know why Amy is attacking you - I don't see how anyone could feel bad about a working person with kids taking food stamps - I also wondered who was taking care of Amy's kids since she was always working. . I would much rather see a working person get help than an able bodied person who doesn't try.
EXACTLY Wannie!-I couldn't have said it better

I agree with you Wannie!
If you didn't need it on the 24th, then just wait til the 26th. As for emergencies, you should always have a back up plan. I live in the country, I do this ALL the time! I can't run to the store everytime something doesn't work right!! Sorry your husband may have to work on Christmas Day.
Wannie, how are you holding up hun?

Just letting you know you and your mom are in my thoughts.

I agree with you, Wannie
No way would I be involved with my family if they tried to exclude my husband.  He and I are one, our family is our first priority.  The OP's husband should stand up for his wife above all else.  She should be his first priority.
Wannie, very good point! lol

Wannie, is there such a thing as sweet
cheese? Might have to try that out. My hubby says he is getting home late so instead of him cooking, I am out to get a pizza. Getting those olives and pepperoni for me, yum!
Congratulations to your husband Wannie
It's wonderful that he's been sober for six months. Good luck to him.
Wonderful news Wannie
Congrats to your husband and to you too for sticking it out with him. I'm sure it wasn't easy. I actually don't drink and never have. People think that's strange, but I never felt the need and I just never liked it.
Wannie, they are probably sitting on their fat behinds
right now not offering much to society, as much as they would like to think they are special. They can look down their noses at those who have had to ask for assistance and say what they will because they have sad, pitiful lives and only feel superior lambasting others (I guarantee one of them is looking up the word lambasting right now?). Be prepared for some snappy, snarky comment from one of them. They are unhappy with themselves which is why they must degrade others. You have done nothing to warrant their scorn.
I agree. From the poster below with opinion different than Wannie.
