We live in a small town in Virginia, just across the state line from WV (which is actucally where I was raised). We aren't exactly the big city types but some of our best vacations have been to Washington DC. We love taking the Metro. My son now wants to go to Geogetown for medical school cause he loved DC so much. We did take an occasionl taxi in DC. The first time we flagged one down when my daughter was about 5 she was just shocked that all you had to do was wave your hand and a car would stop. You should have seen here trying it in a little town. We don't even have taxis.
