I didn't know that someone would come from AA. I don't think they would even get in the door, though, because my husband would probably slam the door. This kills me too because without the substance abuse, he is a good person, and I wish he could just see that he could be that person again. He is not and has never been physically abusive, but the verbal abuse is just as painful. Addiction and depression are hard things to conquer, but this is his last chance with me. I am so thankful that I have the ability to get up and go with this profession and that I have somewhere to go.
