How wonderful! - Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas is what it will always be to me. It has been Merry Christmas, gee, for how long in the country? I won't shop at any store that refuses to allow their employees to say Merry Christmas. Just my personal belief, but the reason so many companies are moving away from "Merry Christmas" is because those who this Christmas is an appropriate term are winning. the Merry Christmas folks back down too easily. But for me and my family and all of my friends.. it is "Merry Christmas" everywhere we go. I don't mind you saying Happy Holidays to me, so get over my Merry Christmas! This just drives me nuts sometimes.
Merry Christmas to you too
Stay positive, life is too short to do otherwise.
Merry Christmas Eve!
I'm here today and I'm assuming tomorrow too since it is my usual day to work and no one has said otherwise.  However, we are only an hour or so behind the docs today so maybe I'll be finished early!!    Happy Holidays everyone!

Merry Christmas to you Busy
Thanks.  That was a lovely post.
wow...what a shocker and a merry christmas to you huh?
just wanted to say that i feel for you, and am sorry for what you are having to go thru...
I received this from one of my interns...Merry Christmas!
’Twas the night before Christmas
And in MT town
Tired MTs were longing
To lay their keys down.

Their earphones were hung
On their skull caps with care
In hopes that new words
Wouldn’t bring them despair.

Some in their sweatpants
And some in their tights
Had just settled down
For a long evening’s type.

When over their headsets
The sounds were so jumbled
They couldn’t quite make out
The words that were mumbled.

They hit the fast forward
Reverse, stop and slow
Trying to make out
The message below.

They checked in their Dorland’s,
Drug books and spellers,
Some called class buddies
Or even asked their fellers.
If they had an inkling
Of what the tape said

Or why someone was trying
To mess with their head.

When no one could answer
They listened less quick
And suddenly knew
The "doc" was St. Nick.

Now he spoke very plainly
Since they needed to hear
For his message was urgent
As Christmas drew near.

It was quite simple
No long words to spell
Dictated but heartfelt
And clear as a bell.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
Best wishes and cheer
And thanks from Doc Santa
For your hard work all year

Thanks all great tips. Now I am starving! Merry Christmas!!nm

You are blessed...
And should feel very fortunate to have wonderful in-laws.  Merry Christmas!
you have been blessed!
take care and thanks for sharing!
I too am blessed....

to have a great one. It is not bragging, simply the truth. I married a man, not a boy, and he is respectful, as I am of him.

You are blessed!
Enjoy it! They sure can amaze you, huh? When you least expect it, they can make you feel sooooo incredibly LOVED!!!!
I'm blessed to have two.
There was a time when I didn't think I'd ever trust or be friends with anyone again, but since rekindling a friendship with a woman I knew since I was 20 it's been great. We go walking once a week. So far I keep it to just one day of talking with her so that time we do walk, we chitter chatter about anything and everything under the sun. My other friend's been there for me for almost 15 years. We have our ups and downs, but I think I can confide anything with this friend and vice versa.
You are so very blessed!!
I'm almost speechless. What a wonderful way for things to turn out! Even the hardships, when you share them, can bring you closer together. It sounds like there's a lot of love in your family. Thanks for that uplifting, optimistic post!
i'm so blessed but most people don't know
that i was molested as a child, that i have been held up at gunpoint, i escaped pursuit of a car-full of guys when i was on a bicycle, experienced date rape before there was such a term, had an intruder in the night that even opened my bedroom door when i had a broken pelvis (and i said 'who are you' and he fled)...was the subject of an attempted kidnapping and rape in a hospital parking lot and even a few other things. All this has impacted my life, my emotions, etc, but i am by most standards extremely blessed not only with my life still intact, my basic health, a good husband, happy healthy children, grandchildren, animals etc etc. God can bring us through it all, if we hang on to his hand.
consider yourself blessed - not many speak same

Talk about blessed
Go to myfoxatlanta.com and watch the video of a construction crane collapsing on a woman's car.  Miraculously, she was NOT injured...wow!
You are very blessed - I know there are a lot of graet men (sm)
out there. I have many friends whose marriages are great. When my husband complains I bring up one of our friends and say - well you know how Sally's house always looks great? She doesn't work, or she works part-time, and I have seen Joe helping around the house, and don't forget her mother lives in town and can keep the kids when she needs to do things. But it never seems to sink in. I see couples shopping together who look so happy. Sometimes I get in my car and cry because I don't have anything like that at all.
I never do this. But if you want to be beyond blessed this morning, please sm

email me and I will forward you this amazingly adorable thing about DOGS.  I am not really a dog person, but after that, I am now! sniff sniff

I would love to share this with everyone. I rec'd it from my aunt this morning.  Looking forward to hearing from a lot of you!

This is the email to use:

I'm with you on being lucky and blessed...sm
my husband is retired from the military and we get a very nice retirement check every month from that. He does the laundry and cleaning because he likes doing this and runs the kids to appointments as needed. I don't let him go to the grocery store, though, because every time he goes he goes way over budget by bringing tons of stuff home. He does work 12 hours a week helping in the ASP at a local school just for the heck of it. If we needed him to work full-time he would but we're content with our income and lifestyle, and I love my job so there's no reason to do things differently in our household.
you mentioned how blessed
if you believe in blessings, i would (here goes this word again) "assume" you believe in forgiveness also. i think you should be the bigger one and try to contact your son and make an attempt to straighten things out. at least you will know you tried and then the ball is in his court. :)
Thank you Lord, I am blessed.
Thank you Lord, I am blessed.
"A blessed event" nm

you have been blessed with furry friends!!

I can't imagine life without them.  They can really make  someone's day.  I especially love when I hear about the animals helping people in nursing homes or using them in libraries during children hours.  I would love to be part of that.  What beauty they bring to this crazy world.

Also blessed. And he's incredibly intelligent, too. nm

went in with the best intentions, tried as hard as I possibly could, 15 yrs and 4 marriage counselors and countless tears later, I am posting the message below
I am blessed that my husband is so thoughtful. He bought
put a lot of thought into them.  He has always been that way.  He is very caring and considerate.  Our daughter is equally caring and thoughtful.  I am a very blessed and lucky gal.
No problem, I hope you are as blessed as we are with our Anthony.

And incredibly mature and smart. You are blessed. nm

Home Alone 1, A Christmas Story, Home for the Holidays, Chevy Chase's Christmas, sm
There "The Gift of the Magi," He sells his gold watch to buy her a comb for her hair and she sells her beautiful long hair to buy him a chain for his gold watch. It used to be on "Short Stories by O'Henry" but that's long gone, long ago. Good moral to the story. I can't stand "It's a Wonderful Life" -- too depressing, especially with banks closing, too intimidating right now!!!
Your relationship is truly blessed and an inspiration to others. Congrats and Love long! :) nm

How wonderful
You have a great brother...and he must feel he has a great sister :)

Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

Wonderful!
You have a right to be proud! Lots of teenagers are really caring and so sensible. Speaks loudly of how he was raised. GOOD FOR YOU!
Isn't wonderful to know there are still some wonderful
teenage boys out there. My son just turned 17 and he sounds a lot like your son. He loves so many of our Christmas traditions, but at the same time is a typical teenage boy. My son loves to cook and loves to help decorate, just don't tell anyone.
Wonderful - thanks

That is wonderful - thank you very very much. I am sending to all my family and freinds.
Wonderful! I have all I need and most of what I want.

Wonderful!
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to watch for it.
This is wonderful.

I forget the man's name right off the top of my head, but he has a book about this; ironically enough you can "charge it on your card" to purchase!  So, kind of funny there!  I checked out the book at the library instead, figured out what to do, and still have not gotten around to it.  I need to get it all down on paper, and I've asked for $200.00 a month extra from hubs for what he gives me towards bills (he pays our entire mortgage) and I tend to to take care of the rest.  However, he does put his own gas in the car and treats us for different odds and ends, fast food, movie night, day at the beach, you get the picture...

The only problem I see with this is the way I get paid.  I am an IC.  I only have one online company that truly pays me on time.  My other accounts I bill every other week but they don't always pay right away (could be a week lag sometimes) and another I only get once a month.  Also, the work fluctuates.  So, I may make $1.400.00 a month with one account but if the docs go on vacation, that can bring it down to say $600.00 a month.

So while your plan, I agree, is wonderful and yes it does work, and yes I'm going to give it a try, doesn't always pan out "budget wise" income wise for me personally being an IC and having fluctuating work.  I might add the online company I range anywhere from 14,000 to 20,000 lines a month given the work is there, I work from a pool; no line quotas, and no set schedule.  So, I need to be on my toes to grab the work.  I do have a lot of accounts to choose from, but when I go out twice a week to pick-up work, I am away from the computer, hence losing some of those jobs I could have grabbed.  I check all day long until 11 p.m. to make sure I take all that I can.

Sorry this is so long, but I think that's where I am so "floundering" on this "budget" thing where I am never sure if I'll have "my end of the budget" every month.  I don't have a set income, but I would not trade this profession for anything; been doing it 20 years, and love it and love being at home with the kids (school age), but still...

You tat - how wonderful
When my mom was alive she told my her aunt tried teaching her how to TAT but she would go so fast my mom couldn't keep up. I've got the tatting needle, shuttle and "tatting for beginners" book but I just was never able to get it. I do like to knit, though I have to admit the last time I knitted I was in 4H in school and made slippers.

I do cross stitch too.
Wonderful!
What an amazing testimony to God.
How wonderful, congratulations and wish you the best !!!!...nm

Wonderful news
What great news! I'm so happy to hear that you have a healthy baby. Good luck. It's too bad your first doctor had to scare you like that.
What a Wonderful Person
I wish I knew more people like you. It's too bad that some people are like this, but unfortunately the world is so much different thatit used to be. Keep doing what makes you happy.
