Grease and Shawshank Redemption are my faves too!
Two very different movies, but both have made a lasting impression on me in their own ways. Will always watch Grease when it is on! Can watch Shawshank without the kids around...
Shawshank Redemption

Is a WONDERFUL movie and didn't even make it on big screen based on reviews.  It's one of the best movies ever, I think.

"Closer" received great reviews and was absolute smut.

Reminds me of the Shawshank Redemption. nm

I poured hot grease into a cottage cheese contained. It melted into a ...
flat disk with little tiny shrunken words, and the grease went all over the counter. :(
Has anyone seen The Notebook? I watched it for the first time today. sniff sniff sm

I've never cried so much during a movie. Wow. I'm speechless. Especially the end.  I think it's b/c I saw myself in Allie.  I had a high school sweetheart and he went into the military and we lost touch. He found me, proposed, and I chose the "other guy." I regret it till this day.

That was 15 years ago.  I found him on line 2 years ago, found out he has been married 3 times in 15 years and was fixin' to get a divorce!  He told me he kept trying to find "me" in those other women and just couldn't (yeah right.... but it was nice to hear anyway).

So, the man I am married to now. Well, let's just say it's more convenient than love and my heart is broken today. If anyone has love like Allie and Noah had, you are one blessed woman.
