I hope this isn't too graphic but sm
does anyone here suffer from any abdominal problems that are related to sitting for long periods?  Lately I have had all this bloating and gas and it feels like  sometimes my abdominal is really tight.  The longer I sit, the more uncomfortable it gets.  Doesn't really hurt, just feels really full and distended.  When I get up and move around or take a day off, it gets better but comes back when I sit for a long time. Lots of constipation too. Its driving me nuts!  Feels like I am going to explode sometimes.  Anybody got any ideas?  I do have some GI problems i.e. chronic pancreatitis so I know that could be part of it.  But I have had that for about 12 years and this just started a few months ago and got worse when I went back to work, just from the sitting for long periods.
Yeh, pretty graphic now
NM
Graphic? ROTFL! Not, but sounds like IBS...sm
...and your pancreatitis. But that's just a WAEG. Best get to a doctor and hopefully get a definitive diagnosis! Your condition must be the miseries!
Graphic compared to the stuff we type every day??
NOT!

Is it possible you've become more lactose-intolerant over the years? You could always give some of those OTC products a try; the names escape me right now. I developed a (thankfully short) bout of lactose intolerance once after a bad case of the stomach flu....

Other than that, just getting up and moving around a little more often might help.

And depending on whether the gas is upper or lower... when I have upper gas and indigestion, my favorite remedy is to sip ginger allergy and pace the floor. Those measures seem to help me burp which then make me feel better.

Good luck and I hope YOU feel better!
My feathered BRAT -- might be kinda graphic but funny too

Sitting here trying to post and work all day, with Tooki (AKA as MS Paris Hilton BOID) -- routine is AHH mom is out of bed -- " I can SCREAM for attention"  -- this is while "mom" is in the bathroom being female etc, getting water for coffee  -- k -- coffee on, outside for first cig (for mom) of the day, boid on shoulder, LARGE POOP on pavement, table or tree (sorry)  -- after that, its treats and cuddle on moms shoulder for about 30 minutes.

We then come back in the house and mom does her computer clean up which is daily  -- getting coffee ready and at this point, Tooki is trying to climb on the bed, then up on the headboard, and last trick if the blinds aren't open, we try to climb up them and chew them up in the process.

Mommy and daddy bought me a swinging perch from Santa Bird, but I HATED it in my cage, so what daddy did, was take my perch and put it in the door and with the perch in the door chain, I will climb on the perch, then the door chain and the front door.

My favorite thing though is to be in the tree right outside my door, and I have a "wild bird bud -- I think he is a blue jay and my "mom" says he's  NOT my type -- I'm a sun conure after all, but with the cold weather here in Florida, mommy tries to make sure all of my "buds" are taken care of.

I know one thing, -- IM ALL GOIL and spoiled rotten!!!!

Love Tooki

I loved the video too - almost made me cry. . we are making plans to rescue a dog soon - within the next month. . can't wait to have a new "friend".
If you have not seen this video on SM

the Polish gymnasts it is worth your time.  Hope you can see this.

your video
That reminds me of the scene where Jerry Maguire and (what ever Renees name was in the movie) were watching their video right after the ceremony. He was rubbing his forehead and looking quite disturbed.

I tease my boyfriend about doing that if we ever get married. We are middle aged (supposing we will live to be really old) :) and he has never been married!

Glad you had a fun time on your first anniversary!
You can't see this in the video but....sm
my hubby yawned during the ceremony. I didn't realize it because he "bit into it" but one of his groomsmen saw his jaws tighten and could tell what was happening. He did have a bachelor party that got a little wild, but my DH doesn't drink so it was not like he was out partying all night long. It has been over 20 years and I still tease him about it.
Best cat video

This was one of the best cat videos I've seen.  Made me smile.

how can y'all tell anything from an 18 second video? nm

video renats

Can anyone recommend something good to rent for the weekend?  Last movie I saw was Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith.  I like chick flicks, nothing violent.

video rentals
I loved The Illusionist, I would recommend it highly. I am going to try to watch Marie Antoinette this weekend, but not sure if I'm going to get around to it. Flyboys was also good as was The Guardian. I wouldn't categorize them as chick flicks per se but I liked them.
Rescued dog video!

Don't know if you all saw this, but what a happy ending!

No but the video clips do tell about him going
to the hospital.

Maybe she was laughing because she thinks it is ridiculous too. She said she did it but didn't do it on purpose. Why would she tell her supervisor if it was not an accident? Doesn't make any sense.
I have the iPod video
I have lots of movies on mine!
I saw him in that car on the video when he was talking about it SM
and he referred to her as a B***h.  Can you just imagine what her family has gone through and continues to go through?  He needs to grow up and pay up.
How sad. There was a video/song
regarding something just like this, sang by a very young boy. I can't recall it but it was so touching. Cat may have access to it. I bet she will post it..
Another fun video game sm..
Is Wii Fit.  It's the first video game I've ever bought in my life.  It has yoga, some strength exercises, aerobics (running in place).  I live in the South, and it's nice to exercise in my house with the air conditioning.
100% ban on all video games

For the last five years there has been a ban of video games in my house.  My husband and my son were turning into flippin zombies.  We started going on hikes in the mountains instead and now participate in extracurricular activities at the high school and volunteer.

TV has not been banned yet, as I think there would be a mutiny....

Video tape him.........I will keep saying it - sm
I said it before, a picture is worth a thousand words. You video tape him on one of his rampages and the Sheriff will definitely believe you and get off his fat butt and arrest him. Obviously try to do this w/o him knowing you are doing it....candid camera style.
I don't have a video camera right now....sm
because ours was stolen. I will have to invest in another one though. Good idea!

An inspiring video

Turn up the volume and enjoy. This is inspiring.

From the video, yes hard to tell if real
but it was reported on the news by people who were backstage that she was upset.

Just does not look good for her even if she was joking.
I was thinking of a video monitoring
where you could perhaps view on your t.v. or something. Don't know how your mom would feel about her activities being viewed constantly, but it offers video and audio, and they have other products available. When I searched I put something about 'monitor yourself', and looked like there were some other good hits too. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Googled the video today
I don't see what the big deal is with the video. It showed him hanging for a few seconds and really was all over the place.
It's a video from a news channel
That shows how crooks can use a method called bumping to open DEADBOLT doorlocks in a couple of seconds.

The crook has some sort of key made, they stick it in your lock, rap on it with a screwdriver or small mallet, and bingo, it's like the key was made for your lock!
made up video - YOU'RE VERY ILL...

please run to have your head examined.........

selfish little thing, aren't you?  You confirmed what I've thought since I saw you posting as *nn*

I have the 60 GB iPod video and love it
and have tons of albums and videos on it. Some of my favorite ones are Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Oasis, Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls, The Fray, Dave Matthews, etc. I always take my iPod to the gym with me. I sometimes listen to my it in my car also since the stereo in my car has a plug in for iPods and other MP3 players, but I usually just listen to my XM satellite radio while on the road. I love their new Starbucks channel on the XM cafe.
It was beautiful video - thanks for sharing nm

Romey, how touching the video, I just
loved Sophia, have sent her photo out to many.

I have an 80 gig iPod video and love it
I couldn't live without mine!
recently got an IPOD video - how do
I organize my music on it? I recently added Christmas music, and instead of taking it off, I wanted to put it in its own folder for next year. Does anyone know how to do that?
Drat, there goes again, cant play video(EOM)

I think most don't but check out this cute video

Too cute. Cat who loves water.
Has anyone watched the video of the 7yo who stole

his grandmother's Durango and went on a joy ride?

From the interview, I would say that kid already has some serious issues with authority.  It's sad but if something isn't done about this kid, he will be a future resident of some prison.

Your video is a good idea
I know that the bassets we've had are really prone to be lazy :), but I don't know them to do anything like what you're saying. I think the video is the best way to show the vet what is going on.

Let us know what his vet thinks it is!
Tech/video question

I have been trying to open a video of a speech my nephew gave and cannot get my computer to open it.  It asks what program to open it with (or if want to do a Internet search), and I have tried both.  The Internet thing didn't come up with anything I found useful, and my own computer only has Windows Media Player, which did not work.

My sister says it works on hers ... it does not even ask what to open; simply opens and plays.  She cannot tell what program it is using.

The file says it's a MP-4 auto file if that helps.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I saw this video yesterday but to me it looks fake and set up. NM

Do you have a favorite song/video?
My favorite song is, by far, Sweetest Goodbye - so romantic and emotional! I just love watching them live. The Friday the 13th concert I'm not crazy about - the camera's too busy, and Adam just doesn't seem much into it. The ones in Philadelphia he's really energetic and engaged. The ones in Amsterdam he's sooooo young, but sooooo sexy!
We do not ban video games or TV in our house BUT
We do limit them. When Santa brought the gaming systems he also brought a contract for the parent's and child to sign limiting the amount of video games on week nights, weekends, and that it is at the parent's descretion if other things need to be completed first. We have never had an argument about video games in my house and my son is 10.

He does not have the latest and greatest, and doesn't have many games. Part of Santa's deal was that any games would be as holiday/birthday gifts OR the child has to save up 1/2 the money and the parent's will pitch in the other 1/2. Surprising how much they don't want things that use their own money.

We also make a point to play board games and such as a family. He helps with laundry, dishes, etc. and of course homework must be done (and checked by parent's) before any video/TV time.

It has never been a problem at our house but I also think he knows that I would not hesitate to toss the sucker out the window if it did become a problem.
Video games/systems
I refuse to buy a system myself.  I have three kids and thought about getting the Wii last year at Christmas time but decided against it.  My kids are very sport oriented and I think a game system would just take away from the active side of sports.  My parents have a Wii and we will play when we go over there so I think they get their fill of it.  My friends/family think I'm crazy because I won't buy one but I'm not changing my mind:)  I don't think people are crazy if they have one, I just don't want one.  Funny how my friends/family don't like me to have my own opinion!! (sorry that last part was me venting)
Anothe cat video - this is way too cute

This is so cute - I want these cats.

Have you watched the entire video of
Susan Boyle singing for the judges yet?  The look on Simon's face and the other judges is priceless.  I have watched it twice now and am just blown away.  Her reaction to her own performance back stage was great!
What a funny video! My cat used to slap at it,
but now she either stands on top of it while it's whirring, with a 'drama-kitty' look on her face, or else she's standing in front of it and trying to insert her head into the paper tray.

If I start it to print something, she'll come running from any room in the house.

Kitty loves electronics!
Watch Carrie Underwood's video...sm

The song I'm talking about is called "Next Time He Cheats."  The lady catches her guy cheating on her, and she totals his brand new pick-up truck.  She starts off by keying his "brand new souped-up 4-wheel drive, I took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights, carved my name into his leather seats, slashed all four tires, and MAYBE next time he'll think before he cheats!  But it won't be on ME!"

YOU ARE DEAD WRONG IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING.  This world is cruel and if you cheat on your husband, it WILL come back to bite you on the butt.  I've been married 33 years to the same husband.  I've had temptation after temptation, and I've remained faithful.  Regardless of sex life, illness when he lost his leg to diabetes, all the other complications from diabetes, and now with him on dialysis.  The point of all this is - YOU ARE MARRIED.  You need to honor your vows, no matter what.  If you want to cheat on him, you might as well divorce him and go get this guy.  Once you have this other guy, you might find that he's not all that you thought he was and you might regret breaking up your family over something like this.

MARRIAGE IS A PROMISE TO THE OTHER PERSON TO BE FAITHFUL.  I can't stress that enough.  When you say "for better or for worse, in sickness and in health" in your marriage vows, you need to mean it!

Of course, IF your husband physically or mentally abused you or your children, that would be a different scenario, but you haven't indicated that.  In fact, you say you're happy...
