This, I think, falls under the fraud category

There are people who use an illness or even a fake one to gather money like this. Some are prosecuted. Who are you to judge? Don’t know there but I would judge and say pretty lousy person, jerko, underhanded, dishonest and a few more I know cannot post on this board.

I fit into that older category but I will get others to do
things that I perhaps don’t have the time to do, don’t want to do, am not interested in doing- you see when I hire others on it gives me the opportunity to do things I love doing such as spoiling my furkids, rescuing animals, reading, movies, traveling and having lunch out with my friends. I can do things if I had to, as in cooking, sewing on a button, but I just do not care about taking the time away from other interests in my life. When I can afford to have others do the mundane things that need doing and I can afford it that is what I do. If the time came when I was down and out, well might fix myself a pot of stew or something.
Happened to many here - all different category jobs!
Kind of a domino effect, one industry affects the other, it's very common and hard on everyone because they "suggest" in some cases and "insist" in others upon taking unpaid days off. If you say "no" you are considered not a team player and probably be the first one out the door. Scary situation. Go along to get along and cut back on extras, I guess, if it's possible.
I am 2 down and 2 to go in the grad party category ...
We did the trophies and pictures. I think it would be cool to do a digital picture frame on a big screen if that would be possible -- like a video history of the grad's life.

Keep as much food inside as possible, if you are planning an outside party. Keep the adult drinks separate from the kid drinks.

We had video games in the basement for our son and a DJ for our daughter -- their preferences. It is important to include them in the plans. It is their party.

Include lawn games (water balloon toss, darts) if you have a yard. Have little games (playing cards with the grad's picture, colored dice to match the school's color) at each table to keep people entertained. They can also double as favors. A life sized cutout of the grad for pictures would be cool and corny at the same time.

I wanted to do a casino theme, but ran out of time and money. These parties can get expensive. Do a Google search for grad parties to get more ideas.
Great Falls, but Kalispell is much prettier.

I like Great Falls because I grew up here and have a lot of friends and family, but the Kalispell area is so beautiful in the Flathead Valley.  Flathead Lake is huge, and the scenery is breathtaking.  The town of Big Fork on Flathead is my favorite, but that area is much more expensive than Great Falls.

I also lived in Portland for 1 year and thought it was great there, but I missed my family and friends and all the mountains too much.  I loved how green everything was there.  The "green season" here is pretty short.

Woman falls into freezer & dies

How can you do that? Wouldn't it have to be an awfully big freezer? Regardless, what a horrible way to die.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police say a woman accidentally fell into her freezer and died before a friend found her and called authorities.

Colorado Springs Sgt. Tim Hogan says a woman called police Saturday morning to report her friend was dead in the freezer. Hogan says that an initial investigation makes it appear the woman fell into the freezer, then got trapped and suffocated before she could get out.

Foul play is not suspected. The woman was not immediately identified, and police didn't say how long the woman had been dead in the freezer before her friend found her.

My SIL makes it this way and the meat basically falls off of the bone.
I know that once she gets the pork seasoned, she puts in a small roasting pan and then sets it in a "bano maria" at 250 degrees like for 10-12 hours depending on the size. I will see if I can get the recipe from her. As far as the seasoning, it all depends which way you want it, for Cuban style mojo seasoning, it can be bought already made in a bottle at the grocery's store in the international food section, probably Goya brand. Then, there is the other seasoning with the oregano, salt, vinegar, garlic, black pepper, and olive oil.
if insurance falls through start making payments NOW

I'm not trying to jinx you, but in the event you make too much money to qualify for insurance, you can start making payments now to the hospital and an OB for care and labor/delivery. I am due May 8 and even though we have insurance (kind of crappy insurance) it is still a butt load of money for an uncomplicated birth. We started making monthly payments from the start to the hospital and the OB so it wouldn't be so bad all at once.

Also, if you do qualify for Medicaid and WIC (and this is your first baby like me), take advantage of any covered birthing classes and educational classes. I have taken classes and learned so much! It takes the stress off a little bit when you know what to expect.  Good luck!

I'd grab my backpack and tent and head for the Falls Trail

Fraud
I use to work at a bank.  You daughter can go to the bank and tell them she wants to dispute the charges that she did not make.  The bank has to then deal with Big Bobs and get it resolved.  It may take a while, but usually it turns out good.  Also if this does not work tell her to contact the better business burea she can do this on line.
It's not fraud sm

If we didn't have insurance, they would have to pay the full bill.  This is not fraud.

If you must know, the money would go in our daughter's college fund, and NOT our bank account.

REGARDING FRAUD AND BOBS

Was anyone involved with the fraud that is going on in Bobs Department stores. My daughter who is at college called me today to tell me there is a lot of online charges made to her account that she did not make.  She called the bank and they told her because she had make debit purchases from Bobs that someone got her debit card #.  I had read about that and had told her last month to watch her statement after reading it. Needless to say she has closed out that account but she had just deposited  $500.00 in there on Saturday to buy books and it is now gone.  The bank told her she might never get that money back. This was scholarship money. I have to charge her books for her because I don;t have it.  Has anyone had this problem?  Have any advice.

UPDATES ON FRAUD

My daughter just called.  She went to the bank , they gave her back at the 75 dollars that was because she was overdrawn but it was not her fault.  She filled out forms and they told her it will take time but she will get it back.  They  set her up with a whole new checking/debit card.   The only thing is they told her she did not need my name on it and even took my name off her savings.  I don't like that idea because if I need to transfer money over to her or something happens to her I cannot access that count.  She is only 18.  I will have to explain all that to her at another time.  It is kind of hard when she is in MA and I am in CT.   Thanks again for everyones help

Need advice, please - is this fraud?

Interesting what can come to us in the mail.  My hubby had gone to a gastroenterologist last year, his first visit, and had been scheduled for a colonoscopy.  I didn't have a good feeling about the doc, as he came in for three minutes, did no exam to speak of and the $300 bill danged near beat us home!!  I cancelled the scope and we moved on.  This was back in October ག.

Today, guess what?  In the mail comes a letter stating that he had missed his scheduled appointment for 10/23/06 and now owes this doctor $100!!!!  Well, firstly, I cancelled the appt.  Secondly, it is nine months since he supposedly missed this appt.  Nine MONTHS!!  I am kind of wondering if perhaps this is some way of the doc's office trying to squeeze money out of folks.  Would this be fraud, do you think?????

I will be calling the doc's office tomorrow to see what their explanation about this is - I think I actually may ask them if it is some kind of joke.  Anyhow, just wondered if anyone had ever experienced this sort of thing before.

Thanks in advance.

EBAY QUESTION POSSIBLE FRAUD sm

I bought something on ebay for $12.00.   I got the notice saying your charge card will be charged.  It has been 10 days and the seller has not emailed to tell me when it will be shipped.  I have emailed her once a day for 10 days with no response.   How do you report this to Ebay so I don't get charged?

Thanks.

Sick of disability/insurance fraud?

I am.  I'm tired of playing by the rules and paying through the nose.  I'll happily wear a red shirt with whistleblower painted all over it.    I am minding my business, my tax money and my future.

I think names of individuals receiving federal/state/VA disability funds should be made public.   I'm sure psych advocates will have a cow, but actually psych is one of the most abused disability diagnoses.  I'd be willing to say forego psych patients and just list those with physical disability receiving money.  Oh yes, I know it's subjective. Just like I know the guy receiving all kinds of money while taking morphine for "back pain" and riding his motorcyle.

Common sense would not hurt - how about anyone receiving disability income specifically for a back injury should not be issued a motorcycle license/insurance.  I'd appreciate hearing any measures you think would work.

Please save the indignation over loss of privacy - I'm talking about federal and state money that comes out of the taxpayer's pockets.  I'll bet everyone on this forum can name someone they know is getting money they don't deserve.  If you don't agree, you must not be in that age group that will retire with zero SS funds left or perhaps won't be one of the population who needs and deserves disability income and will never see it.  I hope it does not happen to you.

i care about child abuse, welfare fraud, and
dumping of young males to the streets, so they lessen the competition for the multi-wife thing. This is all well-documented. This is not about just polygamy -- which is also against the law, but its the abuse of children and abuse of our welfare system -- all under the banner of religion. If it was just about men taking multiple ADULT wives, the government would not likely have stepped in to even enforce that law.
