He was such a genuinely kind man and always thought of others. One of his movies I loved was Exodus and of course Butch Cassidy. My mom told me once she saw him interviewed and someone had made the comment about how he felt about being one of the most handsome leading characters and boy did he lay into her. My mom said he said to her I've had a whole career of making movies, I've won awards and your comment is about whether I'm good looking? Then he said something about expecting to hear that from his wife. She said he was so furious because of that (what a humble person), so listening to these female TV reporters talk about what a handome or good looking guy with his baby blues I just say if he hears this he must be cringing.
My sadness is for his wife and children. They truly had one of lifes finest persons to share their life with.
