MAMA MIA

Just wanted to let you know if you need a good laugh, go see MAMA MIA at the movie theatre.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and it made me laught a lot which is good for anyone.  The music is all by Abba and I remembered some of the songs.  Anyway, just like to share when you can find a movie that entertains you and makes you laugh.

OH mama
Rest assured that if I don't speak to my real mama EVERY DAY, she will send the cops out :)
Mama's boy
Yes, he has ALWAYS depended on mamma. She has gotten him out of so much financial and law trouble. Everytime money issues come up he says his mom will give us some. And you know, mama ain't always gonna be there for him. She won't live forever. But he wastes money like it ain't nothing. Has a VERY bad habit that he wastes tons on and I can't stop him. He has already ruined my credit..I lost my car, my credit cards, my cell phone. I have nothing left. I will check out those books.
get rid of both, I mean MIL and Mama's boy!..lol...nm

Mama took my eyebrows.
Still laughing over that line and the look on her face.
Mama Tiger :)
:) I know, I have never heard of a live in maid but I'm keeping an open mind and not expecting much you know? The thing about it is there are certain things I could stand. Nudists? i dont care! As long as I am not required to be nor is there any weird touching. Of course, i dont REALLY know how i'd feel in that situation. but I keep to myself in my room a LOT obviously as an MT... so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed this is just like keeping up house like I would keep up my own... and maybe they are just busy professionals?! :)
tragic sad mama fer sure
We were discussing Julia Roberts the other day. Some just disappear to live a nice life with their kids and others...
How to handle mama cat.

A few months ago a stray calico started coming to my door.  I found her to be very friendly and so I let her in when I am working.  I started feeding her.  She keeps me company.  I haven't really taken her to the vet yet as I was still wondering if she might be a neighbors cat but none will claim her so I guess she is officially mine.   H agreed to keep the cat outside.  He doesn't want house animals of any kind so I feed her outside but I will let her in during the day time and H has agreed when the weather is cold she can stay closed up in the Utility room at night.  Anyway, she had 4 kittens in the neighbors wishing well a week ago.   I am taking her to the vet to get her fixed as soon as she quits nursing.  I don't know how long that will be though.  The neighbors said that she and her babies can stay as long as they need to.  Anyway, as I was typing along I heard a mew mew.  I looked behind me and see mama carrying one of her kittens into my girls bedroom.  I have my door open and she can get through a hole in the screen.   My girls would love that but I know H wouldn't.   What should I do?

Both of my children, 24 and 25, call me mama. Always
have and I love it.
Pam Anderson: Hot Babe or Sad Mama?

Pamela Anderson is a biological enigma.

One minute she looks smokin' hot walking the runway at Richie Rich's fashion show in NYC -- and the next she makes you want to get a 1999 pashmina to cover up the 41-year-old mother of two.

There's a thin bikini line between sexy and tragic.

I used to be a pajama mama, but I'm a Flybaby now.
I've been trying to get the hang of FlyLady, and it's starting to work. I always used to be dressed in my flannel sleep pants, but now I get dressed every day before I even come downstairs. I still don't wear any shoes. FlyLady seems to think that's very important, but I don't. Usually jeans or casual slacks with enough Lycra to make 'em comfy for all day sitting. I'm also putting on light make-up in the a.m., just foundation, a little bronzer and some blush. Hubby has noticed, and he's been kissing me as soon as he walks through the door!
Sugar Mama joke?
I am just about 4 months single now and recently started dating a guy - was looking for someone with a good heart, compassionate, etc.  He seems to fit that bill.  He has some financial worries but money is not something I am looking for. I work very hard and get some money from my ex husband, child support, etc.  I paid a couple of times when we went out because I have no problem with that if it is my idea to go somewhere and he says up front he doesn't have the money to go.  But today he called and I said I had to work because in my profession if I'm not working, I'm not making money, and he said, "yeah, I can't have a sugar mama who is not making any money so you better get back to work."  I said in a mad voice, "You can't have a sugar mama either way!!!"  He laughed and we hung up.  A few min later he called back and I didn't answer, and he left a message saying he hoped I knew he was joking.  But I am a single mother and to me that type of joke has a grain of truth to it. I feel like a mama bear - I am furious.  I have accepted his health issues, his ED issues, etc., but I am just plain furious about that joke.  Do you think I am making to much of it or do you think my instincts are correct?
I get Mommy and Mama for now, DH get Daddy, Dada (sometimes) - sm
I kind of like Mama though, guess it will change over to Mom soon though as they are 7 and 8 now. A girl in our Brownie troop has to call her mom, Ma'am, which I think stinks and I feel bad for the kid (and the mom as she is just making her child feel unwanted I think, plus it is a little weird).
That's why they're called Mama's Boys. nm

Drama mama- judge ordering Paris
back to jail. Supposedly a rash was the cause of her getting out but now they report it was she nearly had a mental breakdown. She should follow the fricking laws just like you or I do and maybe little miss twit wouldn’t land in the slammer. I feel no sympathy at all. I think, as well as probably millions of others, she is no better than anyone else. The judge is ticked she was let out, GOOD FOR HIM.

LATEST BREAKING NEWS ON BABY MAMA DRAMA
Howard Stern has just testified in court in Florida that he and Anna Marie did not have an exclusive only relationship- well, that did not take a rocket scientist to figure out with all the possible daddies coming forward, huh?
of course it's real!!! It's all real, hence the title
gross
What a nice response by a nice mom
What a gracious, well-adjusted response to a rude, obviously maladjusted poster--Hard to imagine someone with such an empty life and such a petty spirit that they would take the time to post criticism about a kid's feet! (Some people really have major issues, LOL!)
But finally came around
I've decided I didn't like having my son be in "special" classes because I couldn't believe that I would have a child who would not do well in school. Selfish, stuck-up, I know. I "let" him be put in speech therapy, and they put him in a special class for learning how to cut with scissors. Eyes rolling here. Dealt with the same school for 5 years and frankly he wasn't learning squat. This year didn't start off any better so we moved and I put him in a new school. He is doing wonderful! They are actually forcing him to challenge himself and do work. I don't care what they call the classes. They are helping him get to the level he needs to be for him, not for any district statistic. He's a much happier kid now that he isn't stressed about being able to participate in school.
Finally!!!!

which dog finally got from Ute and joe.

I'm finally over that flu and then
the cold after that. Zinc tablets did help the cold; it was only bad about 2 days. Zinc didn't seem to help the flu at all, and by the time I figured out it was probably one of the flu strains it was too late for Tamiflu, but it had progressed to bronchitis so I was put on Keflex as well as an inhaler. The inhaler works, but can cause insomnia and crankiness.

I finally saw it today ...
I was off today. First I watched it when DH left the house to run errands and I was supposed to be showering. Then I watched it again with DH tonight, never telling him I'd already seen it because he'd be disappointed that I already knew what was going on! But I still misunderstood a line between Juliet and Hurley. I thought Hurley said he REMEMBERED Juliet from the dock, when the hoods were put over their heads and they got shocked, and then she said it was her day off, like her day off from working as a doctor, so she joined in the fun of shocking the prisoners! Which I thought was wicked humor. But DH said Hurley said he DIDN'T remember her from the dock. I would have thought she was there, but maybe not.

Anyway, what proof does Juliet have that her sister's cancer actually came back? I don't remember Ben proving that, except with paperwork, which could have been faked. And why were we looking at a heart rhythm strip to see if her brain cancer had returned? Wha? And the way I was reading Juliet when she was with Ben, his manipulation of her actions didn't mean she was back on his side or necessarily going to do all of his bidding, even if it she might appear to be doing what he wanted. After all, she was alone now either way, and seems like she needed to join up with the group for herself. So when she said to Jack she was in it alone already, I think she could have meant from Ben, too. She's just trying to survive and find a way back, and this group wants to get back as bad as she does.

But I'm not addicted to this show or anything ...
yea, yahoo, finally....lol...nm

lol, finally something for us that is the equivalent to
California bleached blondes with big boobs?

Keep looking!

lol
Finally somebody with my problem. (sm)
I alternate between Suave clarifying and Wella Regulate shampoo that is probably only sold at certain salons or on line. It cleans and treats your scalp without damaging your hair. However, I still have problems if I skip a day. My hair guy says perspiration is damaging to hair, and I'd never heard that before, but what every condition I have MUST be shampooed every day, which really sucks at 45 years of age.

Cute cat! I finally got a pic of my other cat who was MIA in the last pic!
Here is our middle boy, Bailey. He was MIA in the last pic, and he is the one who gets into the most trouble, but is also one of the most affectionate ones! I think he may be bipolar LOL!
Finally got rid of one after several months

Had to buy a cage trap online and bait it.  Eventually got lucky and put something in there it was in the mood to eat, and it didn't manage to spring the trap that time.  BF took it for a ride and released it somewhere far away.

Now there's a possum looking to get in....maybe I need to get a dog, my house seems to attract critters.

Yup! I have finally realized it! SM
It's funny because she will always call or instant message my husband or I whenever she needs something! Just a few weeks ago, out of the blue she called and asked if my husband could take her to Home Depot to get some materials because they wouldn't fit in her car and we have a big mini van with a roof rack. I told him not to do it because she is just using us! It's so annoying!

The same thing happened to us when we got our new plasma TV last year! She came over and saw it and said, "Oh I heard those things don't last too long." She always has some sort of rude comment whenever she is jealous! I'm so done with her!

Also, she wanted me to try to get her son's girlfriend a job in transcription. She thought she could do it just because she could "type really fast." I told her that there was no way she would be able to do it if she doesn't have the proper training to learn all of the medical terminology, drug names, etc. Her response was, "Oh, she doesn't need that. She can type as fast as you!" I guess she really is just a jealous, disrespectful person! The sad thing is, she is much older than me! I'm 26 and she is in her 40s! Amazing!
I finally figured out how to add a pic...
I love everyones pics of their pets, so here's my girl Sara sleeping with my son.  She is 7 years old and we rescued her from the pound when she was 5 months.
Maybe not out of the blue. Maybe just finally had

I thought they were finally
going out of style?
My boy is FINALLY coming around . . .
The last year or so he has been quite obnoxious and I was thinking what happened to my compassionate young man? Now he is 12-1/2 years old and the smart-alec is disappearing, or at least he doesn't rear his ugly head much these days. It's just so different with boys that I am not sure how to handle it. I could help my daughter, because I knew what she went through, but my boy . . . that's a different story!!! He has been kinder, his voice has dropped, he is breaking out, oh yea, hormones are kicking in. I think boys don't get emotional like girls though, they get mouthy and aggressive. There's your difference. IMO
Well he finally left....sm
He asked when my husband would be home and I said tonight and he left. He is staying somewhere else. He is getting an apartment next week 30 miles away from here he said so I am glad. I hate to say it but I am tired of babysitting. I got to where when he comes and won't leave I just stay in my office.
Finally.............thank you!! Gut instinct!!

Yah-hoo! Banner Day for me, finally!.
I thought I was going to receive my first social security check this Friday but thinking I probably got the numbers wrong for direct deposit, I called social security yesterday and the guy said I would be getting my check on the 22nd. I am pessimistic and thought it would not be there but blow up the balloons, shoot off the fireworks, it is here this morning!!! I am off today so planning to put a chunk of that first check towards me and my vacations for this summer. I have now worked a total of 48 years now and counting. I am just a happy lady this morning.
Yes, I finally went to the ophthalmologist
It is drusen... not good news... will lose central vision sooner or later... Ask your doctor to check this out.. They have to keep watch on it through regular check ups..There are no signs or symptoms, except found on eye exam, and there is no cure. Please look into it. Good luck to you!
My son met his wife somehow
on the internet. They've been married 4 years..Very nice girl... Also know 2 other couples who met online and happy together. susan
Does he have a wife?
Maybe you can talk more calmly with her about it. I would be furious too! But if confronting him you don't know what you may do or say and your daughter doesn't need to lose a friend right now. Dyslexia is not the worst thing that can happen, although right now to her and you it may seem that way.

Have you looked into the disability act laws and getting her some support or into programs for this?

Share the below with your daugher, if you haven't already, it is a list of famous people that had dyslexia; Albert Einstein. Tom Cruise. Thomas Edison. Many others.

All the best to both of you.
To wife sm
Try some on-line help anonymously for awhile. Just Google recovery or AAonline and you should find some help there. Give him credit and help him. Remove all alcohol from the house, support him and realize it IS a disease, not a flaw in his personality, he inherited this in the gene pool but although there is no cure, it can be turned around with the right support. I know someone who will not admit it and he has lost everything. He thinks beer is not alcohol. So be grateful for the awareness and pay no attention from those who judge. Good luck, it takes a lot of work, it didn't come on overnight but with your help and his higher power, he can do it if he is ready. There is Al-Anon, AA, Adult Children of Alcoholics but beware, some go to these meetings and tell all they hear there. You can decide later if you want the whole community to know. Usually those who judge point the finger, having three pointing back at themselves. It's not always anonymous. Get some professional advice and get rid of all the temptations. You may have to change playmates and playgrounds. You will figure this out as you go along. Only listen to the positive, ignore all who judge, they know not of what they speak, it's a disease. Just treat it as taking the sugar away from the diabetic, same scenario, help but do not enable!
My son and his wife - sm
have been married eleven years and over time developed a pattern for Thanksgiving, at least - they trade off years, one year coming to our house for dinner and her parents' house for dessert, and vice-versa. Of course, she's not a cook and has never been interested in hosting their own holiday dinner. They've always slept over Christmas Eve at our house as we have two more children still in school (had actually, one's not in school anymore but living at home) and shared Christmas morning with us, then go to her parents' house for Christmas dinner. I don't know if that's going to change now that the last of the kids are basically grown now. Unfortunately they aren't able to have kids, but if they did I would encourage them to stay home and we would come to them.
Yes. My son's second wife never

cooked. It was always McD's, Taco Bell, Pizza, etc. She never cleaned either. All she knew how to do was spend the bill money. (She didn't work, BTW).

Now my grandson is on a diet at 15 yo, 195 pounds.Thank heavens, my son woke up and got rid of her.

My mom worked every day and when she came home, made supper and it was always on the table by 5-5:30. If my father was on the 2nd shift, she'd make him a hot meal, put it in a square metal container and I would bicycle it to his work. When I was old enough to use the stove, I would make supper once or twice a night. In the summer, I would clean the house so she would have less to do.

I worked 2 jobs most of my life, but always had time to take my boys to their baseball practice, wrestling practice, and when old enough, to their PT job and pick them up at 10-11:00 when they would get off, went to open house every year to see how they were doing, etc. I also made sure their homework was done (not that boys really bring homework home in those days LOL), had a meal on the table for them every night, never had snacks like chips or pretzels in the house. The only thing they had to drink was water or milk. No soda.  BTW, my husband during this time was away from home all week, so it was all left to me.

The parents today are too pressured, as are the kids. Kids are not allowed to be kids anymore. They are 7 going on 70. I think it's time they get back to being normal kids. They need breathing room. I don't know who ever decided that the kids had to be in every sport, every club, every volunteer activity the school has, but it's crazy. Not all kids fit that mold and they shouldn't have to. Plus their grades are expected to be A's and B's, nothing less. Perfection is the norm and no one is perfect.

What's wrong with this picture?

I'll jump down from my soapbox now.

Today our youngest finally got her first car

Today our youngest finally got her first car. DH and I bought it for her a few months ago and have been slowly fixing it up in anticipation of her getting her license. So today we finally gave it to her. Hubby went and got it insured and titled before he left for the week. He stopped in at the bank to tell me he'd gotten it all taken care of, and mentioned he was going to take the extra set of keys with him so they'd be safe. I said "No, you know she's going to lock the keys IN her car and need us to rescue her! Please leave them home where I can find them."

So he did.

A couple hours ago DD called "Mom, is there another set of keys for my car?"
"Yes, why?"

"I locked my set in the car and I'm stranded... please help me!"

How did I know?

Sold the property, finally
Well, I guess the man was wrong for wanting me to accept the $110,000. I have sold the property today for $140,000. That is a chunk more than I can now think of ways to spend- just kidding, planning on putting new flooring in, paying off most of the home where I live and paying my bills off. Hooray!!
Finally, it seems to go as "we" the general
I think Lakesha or Jordin, in any order will be next 2, and Blake and Melinda final 2. I like them all, so I dont care who wins.
