Bottled Water

DH always buys Aquafina bottled water. I'm not crazy about it, because it seems to have a taste or after taste that I don't like.

What bottled waters do you like and is one better or healthier than another?

bottled water
Have been exposed to many brands and would highly recommend Ozarka if you can find it in your market. Its source is Piney Woods Springs in Wood County, Texas. In my opinion, easily the best tasting.
I think you should read about bottled water
From what I hear, not a good idea. Just Google and probably information there.
LeBleu Bottled Water out of sm
Advance, North Carolina.  Best bottled water I have ever tasted.  Can't get it in many states.  They deliver and you find it in stores here too.  They also have other products.  Their liquid laundry soap is the very best soap  I have ever tried and is much cheaper than what you get in the grocery store because you only use an ounce per load.
I do not buy bottled water, I think it is a waste
of money.

I cook with tap water.

For everything else, drinking, coffee, tea, etc.... I use the Brita filter pitcher.

It's really good as it eliminiate through the charcoal also the chlorine taste.

Starbucks is the best! SM
My husband and I have been buying our coffee there for years, and we love it. They are very good there, and they will give you samples of different coffees and recommend different kinds. They do have some very mild blends that you should ask them about.

I just had my favorite holiday drink from there this weekend; peppermint mocha. It's sooooo good!
I do not like Starbucks at all....
and I feel like the biggest coffee snob of all! I have both a Keurig and Tassimo single serve machine at home and a mini Keurig on my desk at work. After trying many different brands/coffees, I find I prefer Caribou Blend for the Keurig (uses K-cups) and Gevalia Signature Blend for the Tassimo (uses T-discs). Both of these have just the right balance, not too light, not too dark, and no bitterness/acidity.  I cannot stand old coffee that has been sitting around and like the idea that I only need to make one cup at a time and it is fresh. Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with my coffee?
starbucks
I don't think it is dangerous to travel anywhere there is a starbucks.
Any Starbucks lovers out there?
I am spending too much money on white chocolate mochas lately, and I'm wondering how I can make this myself.  Obviously I need to get the expresso maker, but does anyone have a recipe or link to where I can get the stuff to make my own?
Dear Starbucks...

So sorry to hear you are having to close stores and layoff people due to the economy...Are you sure it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that your coffee is HORRIBLE, overpriced, your "baristas" (also known as plain old coffee servers) are ususally sullen, can't be bothered college kids, and most of your clientele are pretentious and think spending $5 bucks for a latte means they have money and are cool?

From the customer who goes to the OTHER coffee place because they are great!!

My favorite hot Starbucks drink is...

a grande soy pumpkin spice latte with no whip cream.  I have acquired a taste for coffee though, so I can't really tell you if they have a strong coffee taste.  Their frozen frappacino things don't taste much like coffee - my 11-year-old niece loves them and she obviously does not like coffee!  I say try their smallest size (a tall) and see what you think of the hot lattes.  The talls only have 1 shot of espresso and the mediums (grande) have 2 shots.

My favorite coffee drinks are the frozen coffees at Baskin Robbins.  You can get whatever kind of ice cream you want mixed with their coffee mix - to die for.  I only let myself get 1 or 2 a year though because they are very fattening and expensive.  Ice Rages are also delicious cold coffee drinks, and you can get them almost anywhere.  The cookies and cream flavor doesn't taste like coffee to me. mmmm, now I need to go and have a cup of coffee!  Just an fyi in case you didn't know - a regular cup of coffee suposedly has about 135 mg of caffeine and a shot of espresso has about 35 mg.  That's what I read in a magazine anyway, so a latte (with just 1 shot of espresso) is mostly milk with just a little bit of coffee.

Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.

My dad drinks a lot...or at least I think he still does...
but I am not really sure now because I live so far away...and I miss him terribly and I worry. Sometimes, just from my point of view, I think that we might not fully understand what makes people do what they do and we need to love them anyway. It doesn't make the bad things they have done or the disappointment go away, but it does make me feel better. Also, with the health problems, you might not have that long to see him, so why not take advantage of every minute. He couldn't have been all bad. I'm not saying you should buy him a 12 pack, but maybe try to accept him as an imperfect man. Everyone has faults, even our parents.
Drinks for the team
I brought drinks and snacks for the team and my son got his drink and snack, as well. It is not my fault that you MTs do not understand what is natural and insist on the status quo. My kids are better off for the choices that I made
but I don't like sweet drinks, have sm
always been interested in the enhanced ones, and read the labels.  Too sweet for me.  This is their Smartwater (same company, Glaceau).  It is unflavored, just electrolyte enhanced.  I love it.
Mixed drinks.

I want one of those drinks with a little umbrella!

Starbucks coffee IS strong. Probably Breakfast Blend is weakest,

Yuck! Hate Starbucks...Must try Caribbean Coffee House!
Overpriced crap....Love Barnies but I live out in the sticks and we don't have either here, Just DD and MCD which both taste awful.

I just keep to my Maxwell House and a local coffee shop that makes the best expressos and cappucinos...mmm...rasberry mocha**drool**

My sis brought me back a box of coffee from The Caribbean Coffee House in Trinidad that was absolutely heaven! I highly recommend it for my fellow coffee connesiours! Can order it here: www.caribcoffee.com
Kids and diet drinks...

My son is having some dental issues and I would like to switch him over to sugar-free drinks...anyone know of any contraindications to an 8 YO consuming artifical sweetners?  He doesn't drink many soft drinks, mostly Gatorade and sweet tea, milk and water, but I'd like to put Splenda in his tea instead of sugar.  Thanks, y'all!

yeah, the kind that come in drinks. NM
.
Yup...got 2 for Abercrombie & Fitch, Starbucks, and a $100 American Express gift card
Love them all! I'm going shopping this weekend!
Ok, sounds good, but what about the warm drinks? nm
..
Oh please, a few drinks occasionally never hurt anyone, and may even cause some 'fun'
gosh forbid! I think those of you with these totally one-sided bad attitudes about alcohol have just had some very bad experiences with alcoholics. Most responsible adults can have a couple of drinks. Give me a break! We're all grownups here.
mixed drinks . summer or winter?

I need recipes for pretty, fruity, fun drinks
or coffee drinks. My sons, their dates, and two other couples of coming to our house tonight after the senior prom. They plan to play Dance, Dance Revolution and watch movies on the big screen. Of course, they asked me about it only an hour ago! I'm happy to have the kids over, but wish I had a little time to plan. I will stay up when they are here and will make them breakfast. I have one of those waffle makers that you see at hotel breakfast buffets, so they will have waffles and other breakfast goodies, but I thought it would be fun to serve them some pretty drinks in some of my fancy glasses that I never use. Nonalcoholic, of course! I think I'd like to make up two pitchers, something fruit-based and something coffee-based.

Does anyone have any good recipes?
Or stand there with a sign *drinks on the blouse* - I mean house.....!? LOL

Early riser...margaritas (mixed drinks)

I think it tastes burnt. But I do like their iced coffee drinks, full of milk and sugar, LOL. nm
