I live just northeast of Baton Rouge, and we got over 5 inches Thursday.  It was snowing really hard starting at about 5:30 a.m.  The snow stayed on the ground the next day as well.  Still some patches here and there (where there's constant shade), but that will all be gone on Sunday when it gets to 73 degrees.  Some people east of here (around Amite, La.) got 11 inches...that was very isolated though, as the amounts were really varied (Baton Rouge only got 3 inches and the next day it was all gone).  I was so happy, except for the power going out and not being able to work.  My pictures were even featured on The Weather Channel...introduced by that hottie Jim Cantorie.  And the weather guys here said it wouldn't accumulate if anything fell at all -- HAHAHA!!
