I thought that was simply incredible! A little hard to explain to my daughter though that that was Elvis and he died many years ago!

Have you ever seen a picture of Celine Dion's son?

Celine Dion is holding open a "small window of hope" that she will be able to have a second child with husband René Angélil. "I would love to be blessed again," the chanteuse, 40, told Oprah this week. "Hopefully we are pregnant and are parents again. If not, that's fine. That's fine. We have a beautiful child." That would be flowing-locked son René-Charles, whom Dion gave birth to in January 2001 after five years of fertility treatments. According to the singer, the tyke's trademark cascading coif has never been cut -- and won't be until he gives the go-ahead. "I've asked him many times, 'Do you want me to trim your hair?' And he says, 'No, Mom, I like my hair like that.' We've talked about it many, many times," she explained, adding, "I prefer that he has long hair, he's succeeding in school, he's doing well, he's a great human being, he's adaptable ... than to have a kid with short hair who's selfish and a brat and he's not happy."

Before I read the article, I thought she was holding hands with a little girl.

Home/DVD. Streisand or Celine?
x
I think she sang, gosh can't remember
if she did either. I agree with Simon. The guys just need to hang it up now. Those females are gonna beat their a.....
That song they sang together was outstanding!
I saw Andrea in concert about 2 years ago, thrilling!
I'll never forget when he sang . . .
Ben on the Academy Awards. He was just a little kid, around 14. Boy, he was just stunning. It's a beautiful song but I never heard anyone do that song. Who could pull it off besides Michael, a song about a rat.
Barbara Mandrell sang that song. Yes,
it is very common in the south.
Wow. I really am always amazed when
What is so out of whack? Are your bills that much? Or are you making that little at all of your jobs?

I make all of my bills on 1 of my 2 checks a month.

?

I'm always amazed at how
complicated birds are to raise! I have done freshwater fish, and it was interesting and there was a lot to learn also.

My neighbor helped some cardinal babies in her backyard 2 years ago and the babies still hang around, quite bold with her and her husband. They feed at our feeders, but are shy with us. I love watching the birds out the window, and we have 3 feeders where I can watch out the window. They are so cool.

You would be amazed
at how many things just "fell into place" for this movie! Did you also know that none of the actors were paid? They all did this for free.

I had a friend who went with our group who recently got divorced. She said she wished she had seen this movie about a year ago, it probably would have helped them tremendously!

It's definitely worth it, and the book that is in the movie is being sold at Walmart for like 12 dollars. I just bought it and it is really good too!
Haley and I think she sang If My Heart Had Wings by Faith Hill. She is okay but -sm-
Sabrina deserved to stay. I don't think Antonella should have made it to the top 24.  I think the producers had to know about her background and put her on to give the show more attention (not that it needed any).  I agree with the poster from the other day that only two of the winners deserved to win, Carrie and Kelly although I have not purchased anything of Taylors.  I have purchased cds by Clay, Kimberly Locke and Josh Gracin and they are all excellent.  I even purchased a short cd by Carmen Rasmussen that wasn't too bad.  Rubin and Fantasia were not my type of singers.  I am sure they have a lot of fans to get where they are but they were not my favorites and I would probably not buy any of their music.

What has amazed me is how much they love them and are still using them! (sm)
This was two Christmases ago - everything else they got is long forgotten - but they have used these almost every day since they got them - take them to sleepovers and everything. It feels really good to have your kids love something you made that much!
I just called my friend and sang happy birthday on her lunch hour...sm

Juliet is a kindergarten teacher in NYC...She said, "We just had our Valentine's day cupcakes and pudding, then they went to lunch"...All I could say was "They're not going to gym next, are they?"  She said, "Well yeah, that's their next class".  I said, "Get ready for a barforama!"....If I hadn't already lived through it I could'nt have said it...Poor Juliet  Cat

Elvis on AI
Yes - i was in tears. I think that this was a TV historical moment, as well as a moment in music history. Someone on another board said that this segment had been recorded last week and that sanjaya was still on when the idols came up to do backup - I've watched it over and over on youtube, and I do not see him, but maybe so. Even the way this was put together was interesting. I think that it might have had even more of an impact, though, had it just been Elvis alone singing without Celine, but it was a very good performance.
Elvis -Where were You
I was 12-years-old, standing in the living room behind the couch while my mom and dad were intensely staring at the t.v. and my dad was crying. He was always playing the guitar and dressed in black. I have a picture of my dad dressed in black sitting on a chair while he is playing his electric guitar with the amps beside him on the floor, while he was in the Air Force. My kids who are now 12 and 13 are like "WHO IS ELVIS? So sad...
Yep, just saw him and Elvis together
nm
It's going to be like Elvis
People will still think they've seen him and that he's still alive. To me, I'm sure he's dead. Very sad, but I really don't think he'd fake something like this, but that's just me. They did identify the person that made the 911 call. They said it was his doctor.
I am really amazed at the news channels
I don’t care where the news breaks, your major channels such as Fox and CNN have the news crews out and bringing us the latest as it happens almost. There is a tornado that has just touched down in Arkansas and warnings throughout the southeast. If I ever get breaking news on another channel I turn to these because I know cameras will already be there. I think they do a great job!
Wow! Totally amazed again, first your hubby
is pregnant and now you are speaking another language other than most do on this post, English. I am really impressed by your entire family!!
I am really amazed at how and question to loving ASR
speech (or the platform I work on) seems to sorta "take over" your PC. In other words, not only does it pick up what the physician says but I find that when I type a word wrong a lot of times it spells it correctly and these are words I do not have in autocorrect- have you also noticed this?
I am just amazed by the ignorance of some people!
I am sorry but you sound like you are not the most intelligent person in the world.  Your kids are your kids.  They are your flesh and blood.  If your dying aunt's phone call was so important, you should have let the machine pick up when your daughter called.  Instead....you have made a ginormous mountain out of a mole hill here.  How childish are you?  Your daughter calls and seems concerned about you.  Maybe she misunderstood your tone of voice.  But here you are talking about disconnecting your phone or letting the machine pick up your daughter's calls and not call her back and se if she is  worried.  Sounds to me like your are a selfish, attention seeking freak who is in major denial that YOU might actually be wrong about some things.  Yes....YOU!  As for the money and your son.  You are ASSUMING that your son is so upset about the money that he won't get over it.  Have you even tried?  No...you are assuming....so don't get your panties in a twist when your daughter assumes that you sound upset.  OMG....I seriously have never read such an ignorant post in my life.  If I were your kids, I wouldn't have much to do with you whether.
anyone see a resemblance to Elvis?
nm
I was nine when Elvis died,
but it still had quite an impact on me, and I remember, as do most, where I was when I heard the sad news. I was never one to watch the royal family very much, but I must say that I felt devastated to hear of the tragedy when Princess Diana was killed, and had the same sort of feeling when John Denver went home.
I was about the same age when Elvis died...sm
I remember listening to his funeral on my radio, which at that age it still strikes me as odd as I probably was not a fan of his music. Just one of those moments in history, I guess.

I also remember getting up at 6:00 a.m. to watch Princess Diana get married, and I remember when she died, I was kind of embarrassed at how impacted I was by that. I guess somehow maybe I wanted to be a princess even in my adult years.

Don't remember John Denver so much but anyone a Chris Ledoux fan?
Better get used to. This will be bigger than Elvis...
and people still talk about Elvis, tour Graceland, and celebrate his birth/death every year. My gosh, MJ is the greatest, most iconic star that ever lived and he hasn't even been buried yet.
Happy Birthday, Elvis
The beagle next door is howling nonstop.  Guess Elvis' spirit must have seized him.  After all, we're only about 250 miles from Tupelo!   Before I know it, I'll be transcribing the lyrics to "You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog."
Yep Happy Birthday Elvis!!!.....nm

Christopher Hitchens says everytime he speaks he is amazed
at all the non-Christian-Muslim-Jews who are out there, thinking they are all alone and the only ones who believe the way the do. I think equal time is only fair.
Yes, we called him 'gay Elvis' before we figured out

30th Anniversary of Elvis' Death this week

I know some of you weren't even born or were toddlers, but for us older folks, I was just curious where you were when you heard the news that Elvis had died.

I was working in a very small factory pasting crystals in a base for radios (gee - what a job that was!) making $1.85 an hour and that was with shift differential. Anyway, I was working 2nd shift & heard the news just as I pulled into the parking lot. My supervisor cried all night and the plant manager played Elvis albums on the overhead speaker all night.

Just thought it would be interesting to see where everybody was.
