Well....

In my experience, there are doctors who are very resistant to patients making suggestions about possible diagnoses, treatments, etc.

So maybe you can just say to her that yes, some doctors are like that, but not all of them. The best doctors are the ones who really listen to their patients and who are open to discussion rather than being arbitrary and autocratic.
