What are you trying to do to yourself?

If your chair is uncomfortable and is causing you to have to sit on your foot (that's what I'm imagining from your description, saying you have your left leg "in" your chair. I think you need a chair that distributes your weight better so you don't sit this way. If you can't swing it, maybe a better cushion and/or pillow for your back. You don't want all the weight being placed on your tailbone and ischial tuberosities. If that's not what you mean and your chair is just getting too tight, you could remove one or both arms.

Don't let 20 lbs turn to 30 extra pounds. You have got to get exercise or you are going to end up with spine, peripheral nerve and/or vascular problems.
