I love my rats and mice. I was totally amazed at how social rodents can be. It all depends on the individual personality, but 2 out of 3 rats and 1 out of 3 mice that I have perk up and come to the cage door when they see me or hear my voice, begging to come 'visit' for a while.

I'm not sure if their intention is social or if they use me as a means to explore, so to speak, but they definitely are interesting critters. :-)
