In Reply to: anyone have ringing in ears? - mdlfcrs

I don't know if I'd classify what I have as ringing or just "white noise."  (Man, does that ever leave me open for a zinger!)  If the house is dead quiet, the background noise in my ears is just about unbearable.  I don't know why...pretty much always has been.  I have to sleep with a "noisy fan" which is what I call my white noise fan, to cancel the noise in my ears out so I can sleep.  If we lose power and I don't have my noisy fan...I'm toast.  My husband even had to buy a portable generator so I can at least have my fan if we lose power.  Hmmm....this could very well explain away some of my neuroses
