I used to dye all sorts of things in my 'teens/20s with Rit Dye. You can do it on the stove top (my method of doing it) or the washing machine. Very easy to do and tons of colors to pick from. Just about any drug store carries this, some supermarkets too. I have always gotten very good results with it.

- The problem is that these drapes have pastelly pattern of flowers - sm - dizzi
  - Might be able to use fabric paint on some of the flowers and find a funky trim/border at a - sewing or craft store. Beads, sequins, glass, etc.
