From the White House on down to the ghetto, our national creed is spend today, pay tomorrow.  Some folks have noticed that's not working too well.  Everyone else is in denial, and change is too hard, and they neeeed that gadget, and the fatcat banks and CEOs neeeed their obscene profits from the borrowers.  Its good for the big guys if the little guys are in debt up to their eyeballs.  That, in truth, is NOT good for "everybody".

The average citizen doesn't need to be in debt.  We don't need to buy today and pay tomorrow - its counterproductive to our future and our common sense.  We don't need interest rates taking a huge bite out of our paychecks.  We really can live without the shiny new toy today, and we actually can save up and pay cash for it tomorrow, and no, the deprivation won't send us into therapy or cause us to lose all our friends.  We can just say.....no to lenders.  What a concept!
