are a much more realistic version of marriage than the ones saying how wonderful everything is all the time. You take a male and a female & stick them together in a house for years and years, throw in some bills & kids, etc., and there are going to be issues you don't agree on & things you have to compromise and work through. Period. There's no way for it to always be a bed of roses for both. If one is always ecstatic, you can bet the other isn't because he/she is having to compromise too much to make the other always that ecstatic.... As long as the good outweighs the bad, you enjoy each others company, you still love and care about each other, there's a similar amount of give and take on both sides, and you find ways to handle the negative issues, then you have a good marriage.
