bless you.....mine was only 231, so I am feeling

pretty lucky to have caught it early. My Dad has high cholesterol that he has to take meds for and I am trying to avoid that, but like you said, you can't choose genetics. I am walking and eating better. Good recommendation on the fish oil pills and garlic. I can handle that, just cannot handle the taste of fish unless it is shrimp or lobster and can't afford the lobster all the time, so there ya go. Good luck getting yours back down!!

Yes, God bless Fred, and God Bless you in your kindness and love...sm
We had to put two of our pets, to gorgeous cats that had been our babies for 16+ years, in much the same story, they had gotten to the point where they were suffering and would suffer more.  Horrible, heartbreaking decision, hurts like heck, but I do believe there have to be darling pets in Heaven, I cannot imagine how it would be heaven without them, they are so precious and give us so much love and happiness!  So sorry for your loss!
God bless you... sm
I will be praying for you. I deal with sadness at this time every year because of relatives who died very close to Christmas. You can't help but think of them. Know that God will help you through it, with time. I pray God's blessings and healing power over you and your family. We all have to hang in there together and lift each other up during the tough times. You will get through it, as one of the other posters said. Keep focused on precious memories of loved ones and your pets as well. That seems to help me the most, and knowing I'll see them again one day.
God bless them.

Bless you and her. Sometimes it is best to
It was a hard decision for me but I wanted my Lexi to not suffer.

Please consider taking her to the vet for a humane end to her suffering.

Bless you
for considering this. Shelters are overflowing! In order to make room for more animals, some will have to be put down. Fostering gives these animals a little more time to be considered for adoption. Years ago I adopted a wonderful 9-year-old Akita mix. She had been in the shelter for her allotted time, a few months, and would have been put down because she was so old & had health problems. A wonderful volunteer took her home & fostered her for 9 months before I finally saw Echo on the shelter's weekly TV spot, & it was love at first sight. I adopted her right away. She did have a lot of health problems but was with me for 18 months & had the golden retirement she deserved. All because of someone who was willing to foster her.
God bless you..
So hard to say goodbye, even knowing it's not forever.

Take care of yourself.

You are an angel! I am an animal lover and especially dogs.

God bless you!
You are a saint in my eyes. I love animals. I can't bear to see them with no home and no one to care for them.
God bless you, SM. sm
If only the world had more people like you, it would be a far better place.

In my book, people who abandon pets are on the same page as those who abandon babies, and deserve the same legal penalty. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen. They get a slap on the wrist, nothing more, if that.
Thanks, God bless you, You never know who you may touch...nm

Just say a little prayer for her - she needs help! May God Bless her. nm

Aww, bless your heart! I still
love what I do, but have only been doing it for 3 years. I feel totally blessed that I actually got to quit work when my kids were 2 and 3, go to school online and actually get to work from home so I can be where they need me when they need me. I can see why what else you're doing right now, though, is so much better than MTing! Have you ever been to Women of Faith?
Bless you and your kitty
We lost our 18-yo girl two years ago to renal failure. She didn't meow a lot, but seemed to really enjoy being held more than she ever did when she was younger. Just spend quality time with her; you'll never regret it.
God bless you for caring sm
We have kept our dogs for up to 16-17, until it would have been inhumane to let them suffer, so I can feel your pain. I cried more over my dogs than I did for family as the first one was born right here in our home as well and we treat our animals as one of us. Unless one is an animal lover, others cannot understand why you could be so heartbroken. My husband took it hard as well and we were both so distraught it was worse than a human death. We had ignorant people say ignorant things such as, "it's only a dog," etc. Be comforted in knowing that those of us who love animals feel your pain. It will take a long time to get over. I could not walk past the pet food aisle without tears. The only answer to my pain was guess what? Another pet if possible. Bless you, we are here to talk. Those of us who love animals know what you've been through. You feel helpless, I'm sure, but you did your best.
Bless your heart.

God bless you and your daughter -
It sounds like she really managed to communicate what she needed, even if she didn't know how!

Thank you for yet another perspective!

bless your heart...
I know just in general with how the economy is & how transcription seems to be going downhill with outsourcing that alone is enough to get anybody down. Hang in there girl. Pray and believe and God will guide you!
Bless your heart. You just don’t know.
It is ok. If you want to say single when you were separated, go right ahead. No use in arguing. You win.
Like I said above, bless your heart.
Have it your wrong way. Am not arguing. A truly single woman is 1 who has never married. If you were married you are not then a single mother. You fall into 1 of 3 categories. If you do not understand, have it your own way. I think women go by this term so others will feel sorry for them. My view on the term single woman.
Well bless your heart.

Of course bless the innocents...
No one in their right mind would place any blame or responsibility on the victims.

I was just thinking about what would drive someone to behave so violently. He obviously was troubled. His family will be vilified while they are grieving.

I often look at things from an odd angle.
Bless your heart....sm
I think I could see them die by lethal injection if they killed someone I loved. I can't say for sure cause I haven't been in that situation, but I think the anger for what the person did would be so much that I would have no problem watching them die.
Then again I may would just want to not be present out of the fact I did not want to lay eyes on them or go through the stress.
Bless your heart for caring!

How wonderful! God bless your family.
And you even get to avoid most of the heat here in Georgia during the pregnancy. LOL Seriously, a baby is such a blessing. I'm tickled for you and your family.

Bless my heart, I do know. I had the guts to
take the help that was needed to feed and clothe my kids.  That was 20+ years ago and I would do it all again to see my children healthy and happy.

God bless your sis, Laura, I lost three babies in a row...sm
and had to have four operations just to get pregnant, I had severe polycystic ovarian disease all my life, the tears we both shed were unbelievable, but we would have gone on to adoption....thankfully, the last-distch operation which was risky worked and I got pregnant and had my daugher that same year (although I had a stroke with the pregnancy and a postpartum hemmorrhage where I almost went bye=bye), but I adore these kids even more, the two sons I had after Ashley were miracles, too. My friend who endured years of IVF was so SICK from all the meds and shots, she gained lots of weight, had horrible cramping at times, was nauseaous most of the time, and all she wanted was one healthy baby to love. As I said, she adopted finally, it took 2-1/2 years for it to go through, and THEN she spontaneously got pregnant and gave birth. So many stories like this!
God bless you,. what a jerk doctor with Kelcie...nm

For all of us feeling sorry for ourselves

ok - i'm not feeling sorry for myself because this is the story of my life - but I do feel very bad for my sister who is not even 60 yet.

First off - about 6 weeks ago my son hurt his knee playing softball - he had surgery and is on the mend - he has OI (osteogenesis imperfecta - so he knew he shouldn't be playing to begin with).

Then a month ago - got a call and my sister had fallen at work and broke her hip. Had surgery - OT/PT rehab, and was in the hospital until last wednesday - having home PT and doing much better.  Then, on Saturday, she fell while getting back into bed and fractured her facial bones - she got dizzy and fell to the floor - falling onto the hip that was broken and onto her knees and then face.  So, back to the ER - more CTs and now facial fractures.  She wants me to take her to the pharmacy to get her diabetic supplies, since they found her to be diabetic while in the hospital (although I think it is probably really from the trauma since they didn't bother to do a hemoglobin A1C and just took blood sugars 4 times a day - and put her on insulin (someone's screw up) and I really don't want to take her out of the house - does anyone blame me.

I'm just asking here for prayers and good thoughts for her.  She has had a hard life - 3 marriages (she's now married to the physical therapist who was our dad's PT when he broke his hip back in 1999) and just generally hard times.  We are thankful that she has her current husband - and I would much rather him take her to the store when he gets home than me - but I'm gonna go ahead and call her - pray that she is too tired to go - and let that be that -

this is such a great place -

No, not feeling better- had a dog
dognapped before, not good. My neighbors cat caught a squirrel outside and I ran to rescue the squirrel and the cat ran and needless to say I was no help at all. Did you have one of those exotic cats by any chance, wonder why so wild? I have 3 cats and I entertain them by opening the shades and letting them view the birds but I could never let them be outside, seen too many animals killed that way and anyway our community has rules regarding no animals running around loose.
I know exactly what you were feeling. sm
My daughter is only 14 but she is such a "Daddy's girl" I can only imagine what her wedding day will be like. I will be a happy mess but my hubby will probably totally fall apart.
Thanks so much everyone - Fox is feeling a bit better sm

this evening. He was very lethargic this morning and I was concerned that the fentanyl patch wasn't controlling his pain, and I refuse to let him live in pain.

I gave him some Metacam (vet said it was okay) and gradually during the day he has perked up. We still have to lift him up because he has a hard time getting up but once he's up he's walking pretty well.

And he's still got a bit of a sparkle in his eyes...I think that's how I'll know. If the sparkle leaves and doesn't come back, it's time. But please God, not for a while yet....

Have been there and I know the feeling but
I got over the just burning, ticked off feelings I had, for no reason at all that I could explain. This was probably when I was in my 40s. I just did not want to talk to anyone, did not seem to want to be around anyone but get this, now in the 60s and golden years, what a difference! No more anger, loving life, sweet beyond imagination, no financial difficulties, basically nothing to worry about except when do the cats need feeding again! Yours probably will pass also. I cannot tell you or anyone else what was causing mine but I have so gotten over it, just took awhile. I do not think for 1 minute mentally related. Hormones? Who knows but as I age life just keeps getting better and better.
