My husband used to travel there for work. You have to be very careful. The cops walk around with bazooka's, if that is not saying anything Do stay on the resort if you go. When one of his co-workers was there for work he was robbed.

I wondered about that as she is going to costa rica for
several weeks this summer, plus cheerleading camp, plus "regular" summer camp. We got her an IPOD last year so maybe a gift card in her stocking to download some more music would be okay?
