my daughter has nada of this junk. She reads on a third grade level. I taught her to read using D!ck and Jane books and that was ALL.
My son did the "phonics" computer stuff....yes...you guessed it, not good at English, but he can read because of Harry Potter books. D!ck and Jane was worth tracking down!
