Here is a link to a question regarding the recurrence of mono. Apparently it is rare, but it can happen:

I have a couple of weird recurring ones (sm)
One is that someone is chasing me and I can fly, so I fly and get away from them. The other is that I am in a public restroom and I am upset because people can see in there - how bizarre is that?
Opinions needed: A recurring inlaw situation...

My son just had his 5th birthday party.  For the past 3 years, my sister-in-law (hubby's brother's wife) has "forgotten" to bring the present to my son's party and promises to give it to him the next time she sees him.  Well, we have yet to see a present from the last 2 birthdays, too early to say for this year, but given the batting average.....

I can understand when one does not have the $$ to purchase a gift, but I really don't appreciate the dishonesty.  We are trying to teach our children that it is better to give than to recieve, but when promised a gift the next time he sees them, he is just disappointed when it doesn't happen.

Do I say something to them?  or just keep the peace and my mouth shut?  What are the chances that she really is forgetting?

Also, need to be sure it is mono, done by
blood testing. It could be something else, so be sure to get a correct diagnosis.
could be so many things, flu, mono.... sm
if she was hurting that bad I would probably take her to the doc. Wondering if I have the flu right now myself...blahhh. Hope not.
Thanks everyone. I have had mono in the past so (sm)
that is why they did not think that is the problem now. I didn't try the pepper yet...kind of chicken I think. But I will try that and if I am not better in the next day or two I will go and ask about my thyroid. I have been borderline hypothyroid for a long time so it wouldn't be a big surprise.

Thanks again
Have you been tested for mono?
I had mono before and at the beginning stages of it I had a killer sore throat.
Is it necessary to see a doctor if you've got mono
From what I read (doing the Internet doctor thing ) there's nothing medicinal they can give you for it, so why bother going to the doctor in the first place? Everything I've read says all you can do is treat the symptoms - take Tylenol, get lots of rest and fluids, gargle with salt water for sort throat, etc.
When I was a teenager my mother had mono
My dad and the doctor (IMO) ingored the problem until she had such a high fever that she was halucinating. At that point I informed my dad that he had two choices, take her to the hospital or call 911. He took her in and they were all amazed at how bad she was. I know they gave her some kind of antibiotic.

I could have shot my dad. He is a total hypochondriac and yet he would let her go that far.
Oh sorry I just saw you posted you've had mono....nm

Anyone know how long mono lasts ...sm
in small children?  I had it a few years back and it lasted 1-1/2 years.  Yes, I am serious.  I really don't think it will last that long though in small kids.  She asked me how long mine lasted and I told her but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with children having it and how long it lasted?  I think sometimes it is a couple months or something like that.  When I had it they told me I had chronic epstein barr virus which causes mono, which was why it lasted so long.  I thought I was gonna die and never recover.  lol
I had mono or Epstein Barr Virus...sm
which ever you want to call it. Epstein Barr Virus causes mono. I had it in 2003 and I was so sick. Believe it or not, I had it for 1-1/2 years. I was diagnosed after doing extensive bloodwork. I was house bound. I couldn't rarely go anywhere. I was so weak I couldn't get out of bed some days. It was the most awful thing I have ever had. And nothing could be done about it. It just had to kind of wear off. I did take a lot of vitamins toward the end of it and they seemed to help.
Recurring bathroom dream & ex dream

I have a recurring dream about having to go in a public bathroom and not only can everybody see me, but I am barefoot, wearing bell-bottoms and the floor is always wet. Yuck!

I also have recurring dreams about being back with my abusive ex and trying to get me and the kids away from him. We have been divorced 22 years, but I have these dreams frequently!
