On your toolbar, there should be a
symbol that looks kind of like a P.  You should be able to click that to turn the function off.
My left toolbar only
has "top" "home" and "contact" I will contact the moderator. Thanks for your help!
Did you check under all your toolbar buttons?
There should be a place somewhere where you can uncheck *show paragraphs*.  We might have different versions of Windows, but mine was under view.  Hope you can find it.  I hate having that stuff all over the page.
On the toolbar, there should be little pictures or icons
and there is one symbol looks sort of like a backwards P - if you run mouse over it, says show/hide. Try clicking that ;)
Mine is on the Yahoo toolbar at the top of the screen.

Do you see the Yahoo toolbar?

Thanks for your suggestions. Does anyone know how to make that darn paragraph symbol go away? I have those and a bunch of arrows all over my document!
