there is physical attraction going on. Why would she ask this question if he were for her only a 'good' friend?
The focus is on the 'very close.'
The OP let it open if she is married or unmarried, though.
This is a very important point, she should have stated this.

I didn't think you were implying that....
I had no friends and I wonder why you would assume something like that immediately. I have been married and as far as living with someone being "different" than when single - it is not. As far as getting sick and needing someone to take care of me - yes I do have friends that would do that but I also have family. Guess I'm just not dependent on a person to take care of all my needs. I do not need anyone to wipe my nose or wait on me when I have the flu and I am just as happy watching TV alone.

May I ask what you are going to do if, God forbid, anything should happen to your husband and he is not there to take care of you? Being so dependent on one person is not good - married or not.

Sorry about your friend but I am sure he had other options - home health care, family, etc., and you cannot tell me that they were not able to arrange care for him.

Point is.....whether single or married, it is not good depending on one person. Anything can happen. I at least know how to take care of myself.
It's riff raff...are you implying we who
live rurally are riff raff? Because if so, we are high class hicks, thank you very much! LOL!
