I started out at $1.00 a minute 10 years ago and after a year supervisor gave me a 25 cent increase because that was what they were given at other hospitals (plus she was leaving and wanted to set me up right).  But after 10 years with me taking only a handful of sick days, (then not event complete sick days, worked three days after abd hyst), very little vacation time, working holidays and weekends and extra stuff that I did not charge for (like correction of other peoples mistakes), I had to ask for an increase which they did not like.
