"Pop" ??

Exactly what do you mean by "pop" when the go to side B -- Do they come loose from the spool, is the doc able to dictate on Side B, can you take off and put into a new casing which is what we do when a tape breaks or comes off the spool at the end -- not sure what you mean by "pop".  But if you have the tape should be able to put onto a new case/housing  -- I would collect several and write to Maxwell.  Hate those tapes, use Panasonic or TDK.
