Estrella Mountain Ranch
is a very nice community and there aren't many like it. I live in Avondale which is just southeast of Goodyear and our house value has skyrocketed. We bought at $170K and appraised at $250K a year later. If you are looking for a community with the clubhouses, water parks, jogging trails, and golf courses like Estrella you are going to pay a pretty penny no matter where they are I guess. I'd suggest looking at the new communities in Buckeye (just west of Goodyear/Avondale)as they are just starting to boom and are starting in the 140s right now or on the west side of Surprise. Look at the web sites of the home builders here to see where they are starting new master planned communities. Ryland Homes, Standard Pacific, Fulton Homes, Del Webb, Beazer Homes, Continental Homes, Hacienda Homes just to name a few.
Anyone see Texas Ranch House and think that
there is a similiarity in the medical transcription business?  The MTs are the cowboys, the ranch owners the MTSO and the daughters like the doctors?  The cowboys do all the work, the owners try to extract as much as they can from the cowboys while paying as little as they have to, and the daughters do virtually nothing but complain about the cowboys/MTs?
Ranch Turkey Meatloaf Recipe

I don't know about you...but I get sick of the same old thing for dinner...uggghhh  Try this...last night my family was the trial and gave the verdict....mmmm..mmmm...good....ENJOY

Ranch Turkey Meatloaf

2 eggs

3/4 c. of ranch flavored tortilla chips (crushed into small pieces)

3 Tbsp. Salsa (I used mild...depends on how spicy you like things)

2 Tbsp. Ranch Salad dressing...(I only use Kraft...but I am sure you can use any other kind of Ranch dressing)

1 tsp. chili powder

1 tsp. poultry seasoning

1 tsp. minced garlic

1 lb. ground turkey

Mix all the ingredients together....until you get a meatloaf consistency.  Then put into a baking dish and bake @ 350 degrees for one hour.  Serve this with salsa and sour cream (strictly your preference) but dipping in the salsa and sour cream just enhances the turkey loaf...  ENJOY!!!

Let me know what you think...

I would have been a hooker at Bunny Ranch (they make $1200/hr). My equipment is obsolete now

Well I'm one up on you girlfriend because

I live on a lake and my lake is bigger than the river you and your girlfriend live on.  Wanna compare pics? You got it!.

Anne, ----------> (who enjoys the most opulant lifestyle on the lake, bar none!)

Right on girlfriend

This thread is so TIRED anyway....  You said it.  All that and a can of paint.  YAWN, YAWN!!!

QA is OVER-RATED like yesterday's news.....

Same here girlfriend!

Good for you, girlfriend!
Ultimately no one is responsible for your happiness but you, and it sounds like you're well on your way to making things happen!

Been there and believe me, it'll be hard at times, but don't give up!

15 years later I'm happier than I've ever been because I made that first move and refused to settle for something that was less than I expected or deserved.

Glad to hear you're fixing things for yourself!
QUIT GIRLFRIEND!!!

Man, believe you me, I have found out that corporation America cares nothing about their employees.  It is all bottom money dollars and cents to them.  Don't worry about the company you just started with.  Hey, anyone of them would quit on a dime if they won that sort of money!!!! Enjoy it!

My brother and his girlfriend use it...
and are doing great on it, without any cravings or problems. They couldn't say enough about it. They are in their 50s and have smoked for quite some time, so for them to rave about it, I thought it was good. Good luck!
Do you have a good girlfriend or a mother you can ask?
s
my girlfriend had those same symptoms and never made it out
of the emergency room! Many conditions have these symptoms so you did the right thing. You just can't risk it if it is cardiac. When my girlfriend went to the ER, she went in total arrest and they could not revive her. She was 50. On another note, it could be anything from gallbladder, gas, hiatal hernia (very common symptom for HH) or an esophageal spasm (I get those). You did the right thing and a full workup sounded like it was warranted.
My best girlfriend from childhood lives sm
in Colorado Springs and absolutely loves it! She is a school principal out there. She has several friends working at home as MTs and are doing well. I know nothing about where or what though. I live in NC and she and I are both originally from Michigan.
Are you serious? My girlfriend worked freelance for
nm
My girlfriend was part of that CU-7 lawsuit. She forgot all about it. SM
She went to the mailbox one day and there was a check for $7000 in there! That thing really messed her up and she had to have a hysterectomy and surgery for a perforated uterus, all kinds of stuff. She probably deserved more.
RESCUE YOURSELF

Rescue yourself.

I just did it.  It takes an immense amount of energy when you don''t have any from the abuse.  You have to sell whatever you can, go to Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, whoever/whatever will listen to you and GET OUT.

I just did it.  It was not easy and I had to dump all my pride.  But the fact is, I did it and now I can sleep at night and there is peace.

You just start begging family, friends, churches, to help you.  It is worth it.  The result is that you and your babies have peace.

You will prolly have to go to court, and that is scary, but remember, dig in.  You are fighting for your kids's peace of mind.  It is worth every effort that you make..You will be told no more times than yes, but you will be told yes enough to make it out.

Pray. Ask.  Wait for the break that you need...and take it.

GOD SPEED.

Marion to the rescue
You are a lifesaver woman!  I can never thank you enough.
Thanks, didn't think of a lab rescue. I will NOT

take her to a shelter.   The rescue is a good idea because I'm sure they would have the heart that I want her new owner to have.   A local station does have a TV spot weekly, but only from the various shelters.

I just wasn't sure what a reasonable time to keep her before I found her a new home.

Bird rescue, etc. (s/m)
Interesting story about the birds! It sounds like you are doing a great favor to a lot of animals. Yes, actually the Queen Bee friend did request that I give back clothing I didn't want to her, but after the fact. I already had my nose a little bit out of joint by then, so felt that I would just put an end to the problem in its entirety by no longer accepting gifts with strings attached.

It is different with animals, though, and I agree with your request to give birds back to you, since the birds have feelings and have already had unstable lives. I got my cat through a cat rescue, and although he is now MY cat, I signed a paper agreeing to return him if I didn't want him (ha! that'll never happen), or couldn't care for him. That info. is actually on his microchip, as well. If I were to suddenly die or something, I would have the peace of mind in knowing that even if he ended up in the animal shelter, one scan of the chip would let them know the cat was to be returned to rescue, and they would actually have someone drive down to get him. Then he would be safe and well-cared-for until they found someone else who would spoil him as much as I do! ;)

doberman rescue
I'm happy to read your post, thanks. There is a rescue in Illinois, my border state, so one day I will go there; I visited the web site, which makes me happy there are places like that but sad also that the dogs end up there. You are right, they get a bum rap; they are misunderstood. They follow you around your house and just want to be by you and love children. My first one years ago I left her tail long and ears down; I had compliments all the time on how pretty she was; she one Third Longest Tail award at a dog show once. My last one I had to put down in the spring due to degeneration of her hips. Yours lived a long time; average life span I think is 10 years. They are beautiful, protective, loving dogs. Some day I want to sell my house, buy some acres and have a rescue of my own.
Ask your vet for advice. There's probably a wildlife rescue somewhere near you. nm

A rescue helicopter crashed in N.O. but all got out
safe and alive. My heart and prayers go out to all these people.
Thanks U for coming to my rescue, Busy!
I HATE being called a liar!
Agree with Lab Rescue. A friend of mine sm

is involved with them and fostered labs before she got another dog of her own.  They will provide the dog with medical care and a loving home while they try to find a good home for the dog.

Thank you for being so diligent caring for this dog.  You sound like a terrific person.  Labs are such wanderers.  Hopefully someone will claim the doggie soon.  Good luck!!

MT doc to the rescue; ma'am, i think you have ADHD or hypersensitivity. sm
maybe we should prescribe you some meds for that. it will make you perform better on your job and help you greatly. now, i need you to follow up with me weekly so we can draw some labs and keep a check of your status to make sure we don't need to adjust your meds any. that will be $250 for today's consult. yep, and $75 for your RX. oh yeah, and when you come back weekly, expect to pay another $100 per visit plus lab fees. sorry, having a boring, working night. had to spice something up, lol.
MQ will buy Spheris and set the captives free. Don't worry, be happy. MQ to the rescue.

We played our rescue's favorite game if she started looking worried when a storm came up.
Normally we would do as mistoo does and ignore the storm, and she did fine. But one storm was particularly loud, so she seemed a bit anxious. I got down into "let's play" position on the floor, and proceded to play a nice loud growly-bump game with her. We had a good time, and the exercise not only distracted her, but the physical exertion calmed her nerves and made her very happy.

Recently I kept my sister's dog for a week and discovered that fireworks cause her to shake terribly. I called my sister, who had never seen her quake with fear - because they leave the dog outside all the time. So all those times fireworks have gone off in the neighborhood, her dog has been outside alone, quaking in fear. So sad. For her nerves I put a T-shirt on her (supposed to be calming to put on semi-tight clothes) and let her sit in my lap on the couch. Yup, all 50 lb of border collie up on my lap, LOL.
NOW THAT IS HORSE CRAP
I am sorry, as long as I have done this and am in the business, I seriously doubt with 99% accuracy that someone can do 1200 lines or even 600 without some serious help from "giving" lines.  Do not let anyone fool you out there that is just starting out or even have been around awhile.  Unless you see proof on how it is done, see it with your own eyes, try it out yourself, do not believe the outrageous.  There is also a way I have seen MT's make lots of lines that one cannot see unless they are being QA'd, it is called "padding' and yes I am sure someone then can do 1200 lines an hour, but how much is actually dictation.  Padding is a good way to get fired from a company if caught.
Since when is being an MT working like a horse???
we don't do manual labor, geeze
Ahh, that's a horse of a different color then.
I would make it clear if you type it, they pay for it unless they can give you specifics about which patients have already been typed.

Oh Becky, get off your high horse.
Your holier-than-thou posts get really old. Can you say 'uptight'?
Straight from the horse's mouth . . .

Snagged this straight from the Escription site.  Hope it helps.

We have had success configuring both the Belkin USB/Serial Adaptor and the Dynex USB PDA/Serial Adaptor to work properly with a serial Foot Pedal and EditScript MT. Other adaptors may also work using this setup, however we cannot guarantee that they will.

  1. To set up the Belkin USB/Serial Adaptor:
  2. Install the USB/Serial adaptor per the instructions included with the device.
  3. After installation, open the Windows Device Manager:

    1. Right-Click on My Computer, choose Properties.
    2. From the Hardware tab, cick Device Manager.
    3. In the Device Manager window, click the + sign next to Ports (COM & LPT). You should see the USB/Serial Adaptor listed there with a COM port next to it.
    4. Right click on the Adaptor and choose Properties.
    5. From the Port Settings tab, click Advanced.
    6. From the COM Port Number drop-down, set the device to COM6. (Any COM device higher than COM4 should also work; be sure to remember what you set this to.)
    7. Click OK to close the Advanced window, then OK to close the Properties window.

  4. Close the Device Manager
  5. Now open EditScript and log in.
  6. Once you have logged in, click on the Options button in the EditScript toolbar:
  7. From the Foot Pedal tab, change the CommPort setting to COM6 (or whichever port it was set to above).
  8. Click OK to close the Options dialog.

Your Foot Pedal should now work properly through the Serial/USB adaptor.

Any horse lovers out there who would care to email me. I have
a problem with a skin infection on an Arab.  Need some advice or chat websites.  Thanks.
Come to think of it, I had 1 that was worse, cleaning horse manure
Cleaning horse stall out, 20 a day. I used to have to take it over to a manurer spread that was in a riding arena that was down lower than where I was, I'd open the door and dump the wheel barrow. One time the spread was almost full and I lost me foot and fell in, about broke my leg. My kids were little then and ran to the other side of the barn and LAUGHED!!!! I came up out of there and said "You better not be laughing at me!!" Oh I was hurt and mad!! What a job!

FYI

Easier said than done, but you keep beating a dead horse.

As an IC, I have tried many times to find skilled, qualified people to help me. If I had a dime for every time that didn't work out, I could retire. The fact is, I DO take my laptop on vacations--much to the dismay of my family--but that's the only way the work can and will get done IN A QUALITY MANNER.

Unfortunately, American workers are pricing themselves out of the market with both their hourly wage demands, vacation/sick time, insurance benefits, etc., and the work is going to the lowest bidder.

Sounds like a load of horse puckey.
The ONLY way I can see that, and I highly doubt it, is if her docs have mostly standard exams that give her a HUGE boost in lines.

On eScription I did a group of cancer docs who really had pretty standard exams so I could EDIT 1000 lph easily but noooo way could I straight type 600 lph.
Good for you but I hope you get off your high horse
i agree with your post -- however, you just don't seem to get it -- CIRCUMSTANCES happen -- my s/o and I had something happen last month to where he had to renew a license for his work -- had it renewed and on PAPER, however, his company said they wanted the "hard plastic copy" he has to carry a gun to work and the state and federal government took their sweet time -- he got laid off, applied for unemployment, got a couple of checks for a WHOPPING $275 a week!!! -- Finally, last week got a call from his employer "even though you legally can't carry a gun right now, we have a position" -- this week the PROPER paperwork came in, he got rehired, but LOST ALL his senority. I hope you are wonderful and yes, we DO live within our means, we use ATM cards etc and I balance my checkbook but who the heck are YOU to judge!!!!
I hate to use mare's urine - think of the poor horse! but
it's the only thing that works for me. I have tried the *natural* stuff and ended up with either a bad tummy ache or nothing at all. It's the night sweats that I can't handle. Every night waking up drenched, unable to sleep. The doc convinced me it was a quality of life issue and basically, I wasn't having any, so I'm back on the very lowest dose. I hate it because of the horses and it doesn't cut out the hot flashes completely, but it helps.

The drug companies are too worried about men not being able to keep a hard on to explore the comfort of women. This research crap they are always handing us is just that, crap. They are looking for the big bucks. period.
