Beautiful day! Everything was sitting out on my dining room table for me when I woke up. Hubby had already left for work and teens getting ready for school. Plus, my coffee was already made and bagel in the toaster for me.

I am blessed!

I woke up this morning with
my right ankle swollen. I didn't do anything to hurt it, and it doesn't really hurt either. It sometimes has this tight sensation when I stand on it. I have no other symptoms, no fever, no warmth, no pain. I am in between doctors right now. What are your thoughts??
I woke up to -18 degrees this morning - it hurt to breathe outside! nm

Do you all type when you are sick? I woke up this morning with a sore throat and a stiff achy

neck and my body was kind of stiff all over, but I ignored it, got the kids off to school, and went about my usual routine of having my morning coffee and reading the paper.  I don't start work until noon every day.  As the morning wore on, my body got achier and achier and I started having chills and basically had to huddle under three blankets so I would quit shivering.  I took my temperature and it was 102.3 and I'm wonder if I have strep throat or something.  I tend to pick that up about once a year and amy pretty familiar with the symptoms.

I couldn't bare the thought of calling sick especially because I work at home and I always think it's kind of lame to call in sick when you don't physically have to go much farther then down the stairs.  I always feel extremely guilty whenever I have called in for illness in the past.  Do you guys feel that way?  Like we're somehow not entitled to take sick days because we already working from home.  I mean, I have them accrued and I am truly sick, why should I feel bad about taking one when I actually need it?

Anyway, I took a handful of Motrin and the aching has eased up and I'm sweating like a pig so the fever broke for now, and now I just feel really tired and would love to lay down and take a nap, but just feel like I shouldn't and dread the idea of calling my boss.

Oh well, guess I'll suffer through like I always do.  Every once in a while working at home doesn't feel quite fair.

I have not found one yet. Tried a dozen of them - nothing really works well or lasts long. nm

Absolutely - but as I told DH this morning,
I walk to work everyday!!!
Anyone use calling cards for long distance accounts? Can you recommend some? TIA nm
nm
I totally agree with you. Had a long debate on this this morning.
being forced to carry the financial "responsibility" for those who can be responsible for themselves! Not to even account for the lives of the rescuers that they put at risk. Get the HECK out of Dodge!
Absolutely! My grandmother has been doing this for as long as I can remember...she is
in her 80s, still coloring and going strong! I, too, color my own hair. I don't usually do it, but when I feel the "need," I do my own. Saves big money and looks great every time.
Morning baby, morning adult. Kids born at 11:30AM (both) are night owls, however. Go figure! :) nm

Yes, had a wonderful day with beautiful red roses!

Wake up and smell the roses and not
alcohol breath - ewwww
Six of one/half dozen of the other
I have had both over the years (have bought my own insurance since 1989).  Neither gave me any grief.  Blue Cross was eventually cheaper for me than Mutual of Omaha.  The downside to Blue Cross is that if you move out of the area where you bought Blue Cross, say you have Blue Cross of Illinois and want to move to Georgia, you cannot take Blue Cross of Illinois with you, and just because Blue Cross of Illinois accepted you does not mean that the Blue Cross plan in Georgia will accept you when you apply.  With Mutual of Omaha, you would not have this problem.

There are probably at least a dozen jobs a week
posted for companies looking for people to work at home.  Pay may not be as good as it is usually production-based.  There are pros and cons, just like any situation.   With gas prices the way they are now being able to work at home is a plus, but working at home isn't stress-free either.   Lots of companies hire part-time and you could take a position for a month or two and try it to see how it will work for you before you decide to quit the other job.
printed for my dozen coworkers! LOVIT!! -nm-

MTSOs are a dime a dozen, but your kids are not. - sm
I'd have no problem at all postponing the training time with THEM, since they had already done it to ME! The kids are only kids for so long, and I think it would be more important to honor a promise made to them for swimming night, than to be further strung along by the company. The people at your new job are perfect examples of what happens if people grow up not learning to honor their promises & commitments. So in your same shoes, I'd keep my promise to the kids, which will help them to learn to keep theirs, as well. And I'd tell the MTSO what time is convenient for ME to have them train me. They deserve nothing more until they've earned it.
I have the Triquetra tattooed on my lower back with purple roses...

Yes, I bought a dozen or so awhile back and over half did that....sm
I have always used Maxell but that batch was really bad.   I was wondering if they had been on the shelf too long.   I went ahead and bought 12 more (different place) and so far these have been OK.
my 17-year-old son woke me up
We sat glued to the TV. Eventually he went back to bed and pulled the covers over his head. I sat and fumed at the perpetrators until I stomped in my son's room and yanked off the covers and yelled at him to go down and sign up to go over there and blow their heads off. Then we just sat and cried. We didn't even know who "they" were. He was only 17. It was just so frustrating.
Wow, I woke up from a nightmare....sm
....in which I had been trying for months to find an MT job, and couldn't because I've been retired for several years. Was I glad to wake up! The good part is that with my back problems, I don't have to work sitting at a keyboard or standing on my feet (even worse for me) all day long. Praise the Lord!
Ok, maybe I should just stay in bed LOL How about "every morning" not everyone morning. Wow. C

Sorry, just woke up, lol. It is Bose, no Boise. lol

I know some lady who woke up w/Bells and

Your other new symptoms sound like maybe (guessing here, I'm not a doctor) - trigeminal neuralgia (?).  I'm not sure - but maybe read up on it and possibly reconsult with your neurologist.  I hope you feel better real soon though!!!

I just woke up after a 35 minute snooze. Feels like a new day. (nm)

Grammy Awards!!Feel like I just woke up from a coma..
Guess I'm really getting old now. I know my parents hated the music we listened to in the 60's but PLEASE somebody tell me it's not JUST ME!!! How do they come up with this crap???? Oh, that girl..she's country and I can actually understand what she's saying. "love your baby girl" whoever she is.
Any rose gardeners out there? Good roses that are disease proof and smell good?
I heard good things about Knockout Rose but they don't smell too much like traditional rose.  Supposedly blooms all season.
candy
how bout Bonomo turkish taffy, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. De-lish.
Candy and gum
I'd have to say absolutely yes!!! Especially the candy clicking on the teeth. And just plain eating gets on my nerves. Guess they just don't realize that there is an actual person on the other end having to listen to this junk.

Oh, and cussing too. I absolutely hate it when they start cussing!
Paul is still eye candy, even in his 60s. nm

hard candy
A wise old pediatrician told me long ago if you like hard candy, buy Life Savers - there is a reason for the name of that candy, hole in the middle, lets you breathe if stuck in your throat he said. Hot tea and white bread will help those problems. I had a child inhale a chocolate small easter egg and I had to tip him upside down as heimlich did not work, and he spit it out. It is very scary and I hope you are okay. take care and buy some life savers............
Congrats. See's is the BEST candy.

I always get a craving for candy corn this time of year!
Sugar free candy suggestions? (sm)
My father-in-law is diabetic and we are visiting him tomorrow.  I'd like to find him some yummy candy before I leave town.  Wal-Mart is the closest store to the interstate that is 24-hour.  Any suggestions for what I could find there?  Thanks.
hahahaha! So, you don't like my wart? Hey, I have about 10,000 candy corns here right now! No kid
nm
I could NEVER trust myself around 10,000 candy corn, or even 100! they'd be gone in no time

but I would lie and say your wart is very becoming on you....in return for maybe 10 candy corn and about 5 of those pumpkin things

Is he having regular BMs? Could he be getting into candy or some other kind of 'stash' that yo

Brooke is there for the guys. Eye candy like Dave Navarro.
Although I must admit Dave adds a lot more to the show than Brooke, I do understand why she is there. Something for everybody to draw a crowd.
Milk chocolate. Forget the rest of the candy.
I like most of the mini chocolate bars, but especially Butterfinger, KitKat, and Mr. Goodbar.
I've seen people put a sign up that says "OUT OF CANDY"
and that usually does the trick.
I hear mine suck hard candy all day. LOL sm
He's also done a few of those breathier burps. Yuck You'd think with his ability to edit over the dictation, he'd want to get rid of them, or at least say excuse me. LOL
So you enjoyed the candy? LOL! My daughter completed college at FIU and
