Your post is excellent and it is all 100% true.  After being a medical Transcriptionist since 1985, and after being an angry medical transcriptionist after seeing the rug pulled out from under me -- in terms of respect and rate of pay -- at the very time I have achieved my peak in technical expertise, I am leaving the field forever. Furthermore, I tell every newbie that I encounter to RUN from this occupation and find something else, unless they want to be treated like a robot. Thank you for your post.  For myself, it's onward and upward .......

  • I for one was shocked at the line rate - at my company compared to 10 years ago
    • And that 0.0775 was just STARTING rate. MTs - with exp. were getting 12, 13, 14 cpl and up. sm
