Amazon has cheapest shipping (sm)

I tried transcriptiongear -- for what they wanted in shipping, I was able to buy an extra set of Sony headphones from Amazon plus pay for 2-day UPS shipping. Or try your local Radio Shack -- you can search their site online and see if something is in stock locally.

fastest/cheapest way if you already have MT stuff
Set the mini handheld recorder to play in front of your computer mic and record it digitally to a file  - play the voice file back on your MT equipment/foot pedal and transcribe - done this a few times for a PRN tape for a local doctor, works great!  (no kids home, no barking dogs though!)  Otherwise you have to get a mini-player with footpedal (about $250 for a cheap Sony at Office Depot).
Had it both ways. Send it back the cheapest way and eat the cost. You don't want to be fighting f

I'll pay shipping for some of that sauce! :)

I don't know how you find the time. Of course, then again, I've been back and forth on here when I should be finishing crocheting my new grandson's baby blanket.

Little guy had to arrive a month early when I only had 5 rows done. If I had done 5 more rows, we could wrap the munchkin up in it now. :)

Try Ebay! Got mine for $14 plus shipping CD-Rom! nm

I have one (USB) I am selling for $85 (this includes shipping)
when I bought it I was told to get USB. I don't even know if it comes in PS/2 or not. It does not matter what your keyboard it as far as I know. My keyboard is a wireless with an transmitter plugged in at the PS/2 port. Ask the MTSO which you should buy and you should have your answer if you are worried. But if you want mine I take PayPal and M.O. --- it is basically brand new, used for about 2 hours, have original box too. But is is a IN-PI-USB. See my note on the Classified's page.
Shipping Internationally does not cost that much.
That in itself is a falsehood. Global priority mail envelope which would fit a pin or a periodical is 11.00 USA. They would just have to chart the Transcriptionist or firm that over in India. So, wondering if this small thing is a lie, what else is in this statement. Selling on e bay, I have even sent boxes of things overseas all over the world and flat rate box is 24 bucks USA. Just interesting they say 11.00 is high, for global priority. One falsehood leads to another IMHO. Integrity with falsehood. Interesting.
They have them at newegg.com for $20 with free shipping ...
but it might be a limited-time offer.
J &R Electronics discount 83.00 with free shipping. sm
Not a bad deal.  just wondering about quality with just voice and not music.
tvps.com is offering same day shipping if ordered by 3p. nm

eScription won't work with MSWorks.
There's one on Amazon
that I was considering - begins with an S (lots of help I know) but it lights up (can turn off) so that should help you find it Sinetech?

Anyway the reviews are that it is very quiet and has a great touch - so it may be worth reviewing...

I'm going to order it soon - watch for my review ;)
$52 on amazon.com

There is one of these on Amazon right now for $84 - nm

Amazon
I bought books from them before, not for 1.79, but my medical concise dictionary by Stedman's was $10, that was pretty good to me.
Try Amazon
Amazon.com will let you listen to a portion of each track on a CD. I'm not sure if it's all CDs, but everything I have been interested in allowed this.

Be careful if you get an Amazon.
When they reach sexual maturity at about 3-4 years of age, they can become quite aggressive and attack their owners, often inflicting severe wounds. If you have children, an Amazon is not a good choice. Be mindful that any parrot you get will almost definitely outlive you. Also, please consider adopting from a rescue. There are many wonderful parrots out there in need of homes and it is a growing problem, as people don't realize what they're getting into. Having a parrot is like having a 2-year-old child forever, with all of the problems that come with it.
Question about Amazon
Do they have a search engine like Google? If so, is it better?
Amazon jungle...by myself...
was my first time out of the country. I traveled with a group from the local college but didn't take DH or anyone else I knew. Very empowering to travel independently, loads of fun. We zip-lined, cruised the rivers, found jaguar tracks, saw waterfalls and climbed 200 feet tall trees, danced with the natives...a total blast. The jungle is a lot like Wisconsin, actually...the mosquitos in Wisconsin are just as bad as the Amazon.
Look on Amazon or eBay.

They're available at Amazon.com.

Suggest to go to Amazon.com and buy SM
"When The Name Of The Game Is Saving Keystrokes" by Diana Rolland. You have to have a system. The book teaches you that.

Don't start just making them up randomly or you will go crazy. One thing I use is dividing word in half like nesc for nephrosclerosis, but, as stated, buy book.
Check amazon.com or e-bay.

The Amazon one appears to be a current

edition and the CD that comes with it is an outdated spellchecker and not the dictionary on CD-ROM.  The Stedman's one is just the CD and they are always more than the book.  The have more detailed info on the CD.  I have an older version of the book and I think I've used it 2 times in 10 years.   When I update my Stedman's now I buy the CD and I might use it more if I had it on CD versus the book, though with their CDs now you can only install it twice.  They also have the book, but it is about $50.

Check the classified board here and check half.com.  You can most likely find it cheaper at either place.

Got mine on Amazon too. I've really liked it... will have to look around too then. nm

I purchased Office 2003 at Amazon.com.

The owner can sell on Ebay or Amazon, thus

can take the responsibility and offer a limited warranty that it performs properly.  Or can recondition the equipment.  Myself, I would not buy and Lanier is expensive.  A lot of job worksites want MTs to provide/purchase this expensive stuff, no way.

Who knows if you will continue with the service and if not, you have equipment that only works with services that have that equipment.  Nope, not me, would not buy, would not sell the owners equipment.  It will come back to "you" and owner may not accept and remedy
