And of course

And of course when every person on this board started as an MT they knew the answer to everything.  They had all of the information.  If they didn't, they knew exactly where to find it.  None of us of course asked for or received any help because we are so smart and so perfect that we don't need it right?  We should be glad that new MTs are asking questions, that they are taking the time to learn things that they don't know, that they are doing practice tapes to improve their skills.  What exactly are we afraid of here?  That the newbies are going to sweep in and steal our work?  If we are afraid of that then we are obviously doing something wrong don't you think?  If you don't want to help someone with a questions then just simply ignore their post.  It really is as simple as that.  We have ALL been there.  If you have forgotten what it was like to be the new guy, then I feel sorry for you.  Put yourselves in their shoes.  Look at all of the information that we need to know in order to do our jobs properly.  Did you learn it overnight?  If so, more power to you, but I highly doubt that you did.  This message is not directed any single person, just posters in general.  Be angry with me if you must, bash me if it makes you feel like a better person, but sit back and think about it.  We all had to start somewhere.
