Thanks for your reply.  As I state in a post down below, last year I was approved for a $30,000 home equity loan of which I used a small portion and then paid back in total.  Also, these open accts have all been paid to 0, have been 0 for years with no activity whatsoever on the accts. Should I still close some of them and if so, should I close newer or older accts?  I only keep 1, or at this time, 2 cards open with activity.
