 If *you* wanted to know why a person was resigning, you would have asked. Period.
 
 I was an MTSO and I can't imagine not asking - unless I had already figured it out and did not care to "fix" the problem or there was no solution.
 
 Doesn't it occur to management that sometimes all it takes is a small effort to keep a good person?
