 I do both.  I have fo for followup, wo for without, etc.  I also tend to type sine for since and I have that in mine so it automatically changes it to read correctly. 
 Someone on here posted once that they have a macro that only saves them one character, but she is an Editor so she uses that particular series of Keystrokes several hundred times a day.  I took that to heart and pretty much anything that I can logically make shorter I have made a shortcut for.  
 I have also worked a lot in moving around the position of words in my expander.  If Stedman's thinks they need to be in position #9, but I think they need to come up first, I change it.  I've done that on quite a lot of them.
