I can't find your original post, however, I think it's worth the extra effort if you can afford it. You never know, your status may change and you may have an advantage by having your credentials. There are plenty of sites online you can go to where you may gain free information without traveling from your home. There are many MD CME sites. Even if you have to write a summary, just do it. Check with the "powers that be" first though and be sure they will okay the activity first, as I personally atttended a few lectures that they would not give me credit for, so try to check. Sorry I let mine go, really, I wish I had kept it up just for the "foot in the door" aspect of it. Don't listen to the negatives, Mom.
