address. I am interesting in asking a few questions to someone there in hopes of possibly transferring but I need some info first before I go from one problem to the same one elsewhere.

re: MQ ohio office contact info

Worked there a few years back, think her name was Joanna, who did the training/hiring.  But I've heard of late (since they consolidated all Ohio offices) that there's a lot of new people.  Phone number is 888-899-5470.  HTH

I got the call; it originated out of the NJ MQ office; I verified the number. sm.
The individual asked whether or not I had received the letter announcing that a package would be coming my way. State the facts, girls.
ATA - here's a toll free number-- give them a call...
The American Transcription Association (ATA)
1210 Old York Road, Suite 101, Warminster, PA 18974
215-792-6299
(Toll-Free) 877-786-5513
I need a ground line if cable goes out so does your phone and if you contact MCI they will give you
with long distance costing 07. cents a minute if you have to. Just use your long distance after 9 pm using ur cell which is free and on weekends. This MCI plan is 26. & taxes about 28. a month. This way MCI gives u the ability to call long distance during the week if you absolutely have to but for .07 cents a minute. Better to have a phone than no phone. Just a thought!
I was hoping to get this info on here from someone from that office that can give me a person to
speak with that would be willing to discuss issues I would want to know before I would decide to transfer. People that work there would know the best person for this that would be the most likely to be honest about everything.
FOLLOW UP with either an email or phone call.
It's not being pushy or desperate. It's showing the company that you definitely are interested and motivated. MTSOs want go-getters who will get 'er done, not people who sit back waiting and waiting. You need to follow up and make sure your email didn't hit their spam filters or accidentally get deleted.
Such lies. Just yesterday I had a payroll problem. 1 phone call, person answered, and IMMEDIATELY
remedied the situation. There are always people there to help us.  Wendy is just lying, and like I'll bet she's lying about her name! Its sooooooooo stupid to do this stuff when you're a disgruntled ex.
If you have a contact number, and you really
want the job, you may want to try that avenue.  You can try to come off on the phone like you were just following up and being quite honest about it state that you intent is to be of bother, but you would love to join their team and help with the "new" account.  Sometimes I think the companies looking get so involved with recruiting that they can get lost in that for a time.  If it is clinic work, I have noticed that pretty much weekends do not really count, so I would try to stick to Monday-Friday as far as communications with them.  Acute care accounts are a little different, I think, in that regard, as they are more apt to communicate on weekends since they usually require staffing as such.  I hope this makes sense.  Good luck in your endeavors.
I would if you have contact number.

Ohio office
If you mean the Columbus office, not good. Ran out of work repeatedly even though had backup accounts. Was told to assure work, could switch to evenings and weekends, so I quit.
I want to say it was the Ohio office but I can't
promise. That was back at the beginning of the year and I didn't take the job. I talked to people at 2 different offices.
unusual for me too, worried too, not Amherst office nor Ohio

can't you get her number off his cell phone?
I don't blame you for being mad but I wouldn't call the friend's wife and tell her b/c its not good to get involved in marital disputes and it is technically not your business. BUT your husband is another story! First off, why won't he give you her phone number?? And secondly, if it were me, I would most definately call her & tell her NOT to involve your husband in their affair!
I don't think she has anything to hide. She put her phone number on the

The number they gave me yesterday when I quit is 800 368 1717 ext 2866 or you can email retrieval@spheris.com.  Good Luck!
Add your number to the "Do Not Call" List

Not sure what the link is to get to it but its a national list that is now the law- telemarketers can not call you if your on the Do Not Call list. I'm sure you'll be able to find it if you Google it.

We also have our number listed as "private". I think there is a charge but its very small, under $2 a month (because its considered a "feature")

I call the nonemergency police number and let
My name isn't involved. They just state that there are complaints of noise coming from that apartment.

I've never had a showdown with anyone over this.

Call the police...the non-emergency number
most communities have noise ordinance laws. If the cops show up enough times they will stop. Trust me, I've done it. I had a neighbor that used to blast music at the wee hours. I tried the *nice neighbor* tactic of asking him not to do that becuase I have a child and we need to sleep, etc. Well, that didn't work. He worked 2nd shift and believed it was his *right* to blast his music whenever he wanted. After I called the cops a few times on him...he stopped, and I haven't heard so much as a peep out of him since!
yep..get their CMT number and call AAMT to verify.

i would contact the office manager or ask to speak to doc himself sm

as far as proof that you paid this person. You shouldn't need someone to tell you what they need - if you have proof that you made the payments, then just send them and get your name cleared. As Patti stated above, the Labor Board's denial means nothing more than it doesn't handle IC situations.

Also, do you have proof that the IC has badmouthed other MTSOs as you claimed? If this happened to me and I knew I had paid all monies due, I'd do anything and everything to get the word out and I wouldn't wait for an invitation to do so. A word of caution, too: It might be a wise idea to not even post here at all and refrain from engaging in the back-and-forth. Just submit any proof to the administrator straight away. You might cause further damage to your reputation by posting something unprofessional in the heat of the moment. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt and wait for the details from all sides, but the longer you wait to present yours, the worse it looks. Just an outside observation.

I've tried to go back to the office a number of times and

I never can make the transition.  One consideration is your wardrobe.  You have to start dressing in office attire which is something I don't miss and found irritating when I went back into the office.  I also found that after working at home for as long as I have done it, it's kind of stressful to get out there and try to be social and friendly.  Office politics is another negative.  Offices are very much like high school, very cliquey and filled with gossip.  There is more to working in an office than just doing your job.  At home, it's just me and my PC.  I do the work and I get paid.  In the office, there's you, your PC, the person who shares the desk with you, the person who sits across from you, the person who sits next to you, your supervisor right across the hall, the doctors knowing you by name and seeking you out to complain about their dictation, the constant ringing of phones, chattering of voices.  The people you share office space with, one will always be hot, one will always be cold, one thinks it's too bright and there's a glare on her screen, and one thinks it's too dark.  You can't wear perfume because the girl next to you is allergic...

I could go on...

Does anyone know how to program a new phone number in a Lanier? sm
It is a Lanier LX-231.  There are a couple of buttons I would like to reprogram but couldn't find anything by Googling.  Thanks!

Most medical records contain YOUR phone number,
frequently SS# & other financial information. Plus HMO information as well. For those reasons alone, I don't want MY medical reports typed offshore.

Not to mention all the mistakes!
Could you contact your personal physician's office and ask - I am sure they get info on this all
xx
Try assigning the # to another key and/or contact the seller of the phone. nm

I was so mad I posted the wrong number!
Maybe you could just put your past supervisor's names with the companies phone number?
I know exactly what you mean. It's hard when you work at home and don't really work closely with anybody or with anybody other than your immediate supervisor and QA people who actually get to see your work.

Have you ever worked outside the home? Maybe you could put previous coworkers or supervisors. If you don't have a number, just put the company's number on there.

Good luck and God bless!
It's basically a phone w/o the handle. Has number pads. A headset plugs into it sm
so you can listen to the dictation via a phone line. So, if you use one you will need 2 seperate phone lines unless you want your phone to be tied up all day.

Docs love it because they can just pick up the phone and talk their dictation right into the phone.

You would access those files by dialing a 1-800 number and then putting in your codes, etc., and then the voice file will be there; kind of like dialing into a voice message box to retrieve your messages except you are retrieving dictation instead. Very simple to use. GREAT quality. Excellent quality.

I am 99% sure I am taking a job I was just offered yesterday that requires the use of one. Right now I am on Doc-Q-U-Suck and can't wait to change.
Does anyone have a name of a person to email at Corp for MQ about this.
:
to the person who will not give a name
Tomes don't speak - they are volumes of collections of books.

If you seriously think you are affecting patient care with your little transcription reports, you are seriously deluded. Transcription's sole purpose is CYA for the healthcare providers.

I have about a dozen RNs in my family, have worked with hundreds of RNs, MDs, other health care professionals over my very long career, and the first thing anyone of them learn is not to read the dictated report for orders, etc., because they are transcribed by people with no medical knowledge.

So, take your ego and stroke it all you want - I know you don't know what you are talking about.
I wouldn't let it go. I would email the person you've been corresponding with... SM

through the whole hiring process and I would present your research in a professional manner.  Simply say you can't understand how you missed five when you've researched all your answers after the fact.  Cite your sources and ask her if your test can be looked at again.

You may be helping out another MT in the future by bringing your concerns about the test to the company.  They might improve the testing process or the grading process in the future.

From the email sent to me by my office manager, lol.

Is QA going to call the office and ask?...because otherwise=
they can't fix it either. If he said lady at the beginning and you have no other hints (i.e. prostate check?) then go with lady. Only send to  QA if they are going to call and get the scoop.
you ask all your friends to email you rather than call. nm
