in-stent versus end-stent restenosis

Do these terms mean the same thing or each means something different? How can you tell if the doc means end or in? Thanks

I heard it on local news....sm
but assumed it would be something most local news stations would carry...if I heard it correctly. I use mine as a credit all the time too.
I heard about it too, but on the news a night or two ago
they said no set amounts had been made yet, but that Congress was going to work fast on it to get it approved.
I heard it on the news this morning.
nm
Bad news for ya. Meditech is at my hospital ....
and everyone hates it. User non-friendly and it takes 6 maneuvers to what other systems can do in 2 maneuvers. NOT a good thing at all.
I heard this on the news a couple of years ago, or maybe it was

Paul Harvey.  Graduates of the Naval Academy received diplomas with "Navel" Academy on them and they all had to be reprinted.  You would think with something like that they would have someone proof and reproof before it went to final printing, and then proof again after printing.

Along with spelling errors that drive me nuts, bad grammar makes me cringe.  When I hear someone say "I seen" it is like fingernails on the blackboard.

I heard on the news this morning that this group ....
Will no longer be going to the funerals. Thank goodness. They got the airtime they had requested, Not that many people will even listen to their out-of-this-world beliefs.

Thanks all!
Heard on the news last week about people leaving
the country for medical care/dental treatment.   A man went to some Eastern European country for dental care.  Even with airfare it was cheaper there and that many other countries, including India, were starting to market themselves as a place for affordable healthcare for foreigners.
I heard a news report predicting that prices will
YIKES!!
Yes, I leave cable news on low, but since I get paid by the hour plus incentive,

$10 an hour?? at a hospital ...
doing transcription ????
I know. I've never even heard of a VR job paying by the hour. It isn't QA at all. nm
m
$18 an hour but I work inhouse in a hospital.
nm
Philadelphia - $25 per hour at a large teaching hospital. nm

Hospital MTs around my neck of the woods make $24 per hour +. sm
The jobs are out there, you have to find them.
I think I misstated it - the at home people live within an hour of the hospital - sm
this is what the hospital is absolutely positively trying to avoid - having people all over the country doing the job. If the equipment breaks, if there are meetings, etc. - these cannot be done with transcriptionists all of the country.
I have 13 years experience and just started a hospital job working from home making $16 an hour

and with a really good incentive plan.  I live in the Kansas City area.  $10 seems like a low starting point even with only two years experience which is the usual benchmark for hospital MT jobs.

It's been my experience that the low end of the pay scale for hospital employed MTs was around $12 an hour.  Also, it's been my experience that the pay offered is usually based on years of experience and how well you perform on the transcription test.

I would say if their pay is that low, they should at least be making it up with incentive and it doesn't sound like they are.

Just heard on the news that Dana Reeve (Christopher Reeve's widow) has cancer. That's so sad.

Most in-house hospital jobs allow only 30 minutes for lunch! So I wouldn't call an hour lunch
"rigid."  If you are an employee, there are rules, set schedules, etc. that you have to expect.
Depends on what kind of hospital? Large urban hospital or small community hospital? SM

Also, is it a large teaching hospital? If so you have to consider there will be A LOT of different residents dictating, usually a lot of ESLs at teaching hospitals, and the residents rotate out and new ones rotate in every summer. So you can't expect to get the same dictators and build up your macros because the dictators change all the time.

I would say 9 cpl would be a pretty good offer for a small to medium community hospital where you will be doing the same dictators on a daily basis.  But for bigger, urban or teaching hospitals I would want at least 12 to 15 cpl.

Cipher stent
I have found it on the internet as such--Cipher stent
Cypher stent
You are so right, I apologize for the incorrect information.
in-stent restenosis
means that a stent has been placed in the artery, and has clogged off again.  Never heard of end-stent, so I am thinking it is just slurred sounds for in-stent.
In-stent restenosis
I have always typed "in-stent"  for all heart doctors at my hospital.   Also found on Google.
drug-eluting stent

You are wrong.  It drug-eluting stent.

Yes it IS hyphenated, drug-eluting stent...
nm
Cypher drug-eluting stent
nm
look up each definition..and it is drug-eluting stent. with hyphen.
nm
just checked i-mail. no news. how did you get your news?
love,

frank
News flash..Don't know where you get your news, but the economy is doing very well.
s
My theory is no news is good news. (sm)
If there is really a problem with your transcription, then I would not worry about it. They will get to you if you screw up.

As far as policies and procedures, look in your manual. I am sure they gave you info for all of that stuff. JMO.
Depends on the pay and account. My lowest average is $15.52 an hour (roughly 182.6 lines an hour) w
;'
1850 lines per 8 hour shift. 15.00 hour - no real requirement
x
I have good news and bad news 4U...
The good news is on Saturday, July 1 many of your least favorite residents will be "graduating." The bad news is that on the same day you'll be getting a virtual box of candy with brand new residents who have no clue how to dictate! RU excited?? ARGHHHH!!!!
if it is feasable, split that 6-hour shift into two 3-hour shifts. sm
i work a split shift and find that i am much better able to stay focused and get more work done that way. also, being 3 months pregnant you have gone through the very tiring time of pregnancy and you should start seeing an energy perk before long.
I start an hour or 2 early and then take an hour or 2 for dinner -nm
x
At 200 lines a day for 6 cents, you are making $1.20 a day or 0.15 hour for an 8 hour day!!!--cm
Did you mean 2,000? Even then you would only be making $1.50 if you work 8 hours a day.
$32/hour? You said $36/hour on an earlier post. Either way would be great. n/m
xx

10 reports/hour or 25 markers/hour
NM
I WASN'T GUESSING. I HEARD WHAT I HEARD VERY CLEARLY.
I don't even agree with what QA said, but they are QA. Question them, and your out the door.
I appreciate your responses. I had an option of line vs hour ($14/hour) but if line pays more...nm
nm
65 to 75 an hour comes to $15 an hour if u are fast

Hospital. I wish I'd never left my hospital job.
They'll only take me back if I start off working nights and weekends again at the bottom of the totem pole.
If you work for a hospital - how come no one from the hospital
called you?? Were they in the dark, as well?? How sad, that no one in your hospital communicates with the at home staff.
WOW, that is news. Thanks. nm

old news
This same type of e-mail has been passed around for years. It will not work. Check it out on snopes.com.
Very sad news

As hard as it is, you did the kindest thing you could.  Why is it that cats want to curl up on your foot that is running the foot pedal?  Or on top of your mouse?  Or in front of your monitor?

You have my sympathy.  Cats are people too!  Sometimes my cat seems to be the only one who understands me....at least the only one who listens.

Just saw that on the news!

where on fox news?
can't find it. can you post the link? I heard "rumors" that he has already received several offers..everything from being a popular band's new lead singer to solo recording deals. I hope to hear more from him soon. I really enjoyed his perfomances.
This is old news. sm
I can't even remember the name right now (not memorable anyway), but as I recall "Medical Transcripton" no longer appear in the name.  Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
