Don't donate!

In Reply to: donation is voluntary...I did not pay either. nm - nn

The donations are NOT for the person who started this petition. Since most MTs are national, it is nearly impossible to reach all of you except for an online "E" petition. If it asks for any donations from you, those will go to the people who run the website hosting an epetition (ipetition.com). Don't donate. It doesn't affect the outcome. If you feel strongly against the cause, please submit your E signature. I myself will print out all the signatures and send them to various committees and elected officials in DC. I would like to send thousands of signatures but we will see. You don't have to work in this field to sign; it is mainly targeted to people who have concerns about their private information and medical charts being sent to foreign countries; so please share with friends/family if they wish to sign! Thanks!

Actually, if you want to donate sm
You take payment for the service you render, then deposit it into your account. When you write a check donating it back to the church, THEN it becomes a charitable donation and tax-deductible.

I serve as an organist for two small churches and this is what I do when I want to contribute to them, rather than "play for free," at least this way I get the tax benefits and they still get their donation.
can I donate more than once and get more than one prize?
I'm greedy
I signed, did not donate

can now donate your vacation time
The IRS will now let you donate your vacation time to the evacuees.  They will convert it to cash and you can deduct it at the end of the year.  For those of you feeling so generous, this is for you.
Yeah, donate your vacation time
A neighbor of a relative of mine, being the nice person that he is, set up a booth at the Astrodome for temporary work as a plumber for $15 an hour.  No one came.    Go ahead, give up your vacation.  Not me.
Red Cross donations= Research before you donate to ANY NPO
I, for one, will NEVER donate to the Red Cross. Why? My father was NEVER notified his mother died. He never got to attend her funeral or say goodbye. . . He found out after he came home from the service. I could tell you other horror stories, but won't. Sure, I'm bitter, but don't need to be flamed. Would you like to come home and find your mother has been dead and buried and you didn't even know? Think about it.

The Salvation Army is my choice. I KNOW all the money is going to the Katrina Victims. If anyone has a chance, they should look at the statistics on how much money donated really goes to victims of a disaster. The sites escape my memory right now, but they are/should be all online.
After we donate (I just did) how do we "pull from the bag"? Sounds fun AND for a great cause!

Please click on Santa's House for Christmas Angels above to donate and help

for Christmas.  MTStars is matching your donation, dollar for dollar, and on Dec. 1 everyone who has donated will be able to pull a gift from Santa's Bag!

Thank you!

No, we're both tossers. Hate clutter, if it isn't used, we donate or trash it.
