Don't let yourself be used

I was in the exact same situation.  I would get the emails and the would you listen requests and I wasn't paid a dime for them.  I did the covering, the training, filling in at all hours and repeatedly told her it was too much work.  She would say I'm making more than anybody else and how much she appreciates the help and all that, the smoke up the tush part.   After 3 years of working 7 days a week, 18 hour days, I finally quit and was told I "didn't know what hard work is" and even came to find out another person who only typed with minimal experience was making 1 cpl more than me!

Don't let yourself be used.  I learned the hard way.
